I gave it this rating because I visited over 5 dealerships and found most were only interested in a quick sale or were shysters trying to rip you off . Some dealers actually used false advertiseme dealerships and found most were only interested in a quick sale or were shysters trying to rip you off . Some dealers actually used false advertisements to get you in and then renege on what there listing said. I was told by 2 salesmen at a Hartford dealership that the price was negotiable on a vehicle I looked at on their website. When I drove over 30 miles to get there was then told the price was NOT negotiable it was an internet only price, however the vehicle was sitting in there lot with the exact same price. After two days they decided to accept my offer, however, in that time I went to Gates (and was glade I did). As I said Gates was very personable and were interested not only in selling a car but also interested in my daughters safety making her happy and reasonable with us as consumers. JJ Lavieri even had 2 new tires put on this vehicle to demonstrate his sincerity towards my daughters safety and Denny worked out a very good price for us. It was truly our pleasure dealing with Gates. More

Gates truly gets it or shall I say Jeremy King gets it. I went into Gates and was immediately helped by Jeremy King, he took down what I was looking for and told me I’d be an excellent candidate to lease a n went into Gates and was immediately helped by Jeremy King, he took down what I was looking for and told me I’d be an excellent candidate to lease a new 2011 Nissan Sentra. He showed me the benefits of leasing vs. buying; and opened my eyes to something I had not ever thought of; leasing over buying. He was incredibly helpful and resourceful; both the sales manager and finance manager were great assistance as well. He made what normally is a stressful time; purchasing a car; into a seamless; and satisfying day. Jeremy was also kind; never pushy and truly treated me like I was important and what I said mattered. He went through every detail about the lease contract; broke down every cost associated and even showed me how much gas I’d be saving with this new Sentra. Having a new car; I figured was never in my price range; but with leasing Jeremy showed me it was possible. I walked out incredibly satisfied and in a brand new car for near the same monthly as I would have if I bought used. The overall experience was pleasurable; and I couldn’t be happier with the service I was provided from Jeremy; and most importantly I couldn’t by any happier with my new 2011 Nissan Sentra. More

Overall, I had a good experience. I was not planning on purchasing a vehicle the night I came to look, however, the sales people made me feel very comfortable and confident in making a decision to purchase purchasing a vehicle the night I came to look, however, the sales people made me feel very comfortable and confident in making a decision to purchase. This was only the second dealership I had gone to and I'm usually the type of person who will go to 5 or 6 places before making my decision. i rate this dealership because i was going to get a truck so i was lookin around and a sales guy comes out i nicely introduce myself and he did to me we talked told him what i was lookin for i gave him a pic so i was lookin around and a sales guy comes out i nicely introduce myself and he did to me we talked told him what i was lookin for i gave him a picture of it and we looked for it but couldnt find it but then i saw something else i was intrested in so jeremy was nice of enough to show me the whole dealership cuz it was my first time there after that we took the car that i was intersted looked at from inside and out after took for a test drive after that i bought it so i deff recommend the dealership but mostly jeremy cuz he helped me out alot with the car and showed me everything i need to know about the car so i rate everything A+++++++ More

I don’t recommend Gates Nissan – Car salesmen will force you into selling your soul. They should be embarrassed. My mom recently purchased a car from Gates. Salesman wanted to tack on every single exte you into selling your soul. They should be embarrassed. My mom recently purchased a car from Gates. Salesman wanted to tack on every single extended warranty and fee under the sun. Talked her into financing because that’s the only way to get the $1000 rebate. But, they charged $700 for finance administration. Worth it to save $300? Hardly. They saw her coming a mile away. Older woman with a broken accent, from a foreign land. Yeah. $$$ rang in their eyes. When my mother told the salesman no and he finally let go, they made arrangements for pickup and paper signing. She shows up and the Gen Manager has fees after fees for various items tacked on. Finance administration (not interest). Paint warranty, extended warranty, you name it. She argued for over 5 hours with them that she didn’t want them. (New vehicle no less). But the Gen manager stated “you really do need it. It really has to be on here. You don’t want to go without it.” She admitted she should have walked, but they broke her down. Shame on Gates and the whole Nissan crew. I have dealt with them once. They are forceful and try to convince you to buy into things you don’t need – or want. But I’ve seen them with elderly, and with language challenged individuals. They push harder using terms like “you need this to ensure your vehicle is covered”. They use sales gimmicks that should be banned. If I could convince her to shove the car where the sun doesn’t shine, I would. I have never seen someone purchase a car and look so beat up and saddened over it. I will never ever recommend Gates Nissan or any Gates dealership. More

As exciting as it is buying a new vehicle, it can also be a very anxious and nervous situation. I visited a couple other Nissan dealerships searching for the good price. I would recommend Gates GMC Nissan, because of the quality and the way that the Sales Staff handled my needs for a vehicle. I was impressed with the way that each member of the team handled the Sale a quality and the way that the Sales Staff handled my needs for a vehicle. I was impressed with the way that each member of the team handled the Sale and all the paperwork involved. I was well pleased, with the outcome and the vehicle runs great. My family and I had the most wonderful experience at Gates this past week. We had been in contact with many dealerships looking for just the right car. I had a very difficult time getting anyone to help Gates this past week. We had been in contact with many dealerships looking for just the right car. I had a very difficult time getting anyone to help me by calling back or reaching out. We called Gates because they are right down the road from our home. Jeremy called us back right away. I went into to see a car the next day. Keep in mind that they close at 8:00 and I drove into the parking lot at 7:45p. I thought for sure they would do what all of the other dealers had done and just push me off. I certainly was wrong. They were all so kind. I never felt rushed or pressured. I sat with Jeremy and went through a list of what I wanted my car to have, and he called the next day. They found me a car! Exactly what I wanted! I bought and took it home the very next day. Erika in the financing department was teriffic! She was so kind and accomidating. It is difficult to shop for anything with a 6yr. old and a 4 yr. old but everyone there knew my girls by the time we left and they were so very sweet to them. The girls want to know when we can go back and visit our new friends. I would recommend Gates to everyone! We certainly know where we will be going for now on. More
