Overall customer experience-RUINED by Marissa (cashier) I purchased my vehicle on 12/13/14, and received pretty good service from my car salesman, sales manager, and finance manager. I even got to meet the I purchased my vehicle on 12/13/14, and received pretty good service from my car salesman, sales manager, and finance manager. I even got to meet the owner of the dealership the night I purchased the car! When I got the car, the dealership was supposed to fix my inside overhead light before I left, but they forgot to do that - but my salesman told me to just mention it when I came back to pick up my plates, and that they would take care of it then. On Monday, 1/5/2015. I called the dealership to inquire about when I would get my new license plates. Considering that I purchased the car on 12/13/14, I was concerned. I was informed by a woman (I don't recall her name) that my paperwork has just been sent off for my plates the previous Friday (1/2/2015). I mentioned that I was concerned because my temporary tags would be expiring soon. I was told that I shouldn't worry, I'd get my new plates before my temporary tags expired, and that I would be contacted by the dealership when they were ready. Fast forward to this morning, Monday, 1/12/2015 at approximately 8:18am. I called the dealership because my temporary tags expire TODAY, and I have YET to receive any communication about picking up my new license plates. I had the unfortunate pleasure of speaking with MARISSA, a very rude sounding cashier. I asked her what does the dealership typically do when, at no fault of the customer, they run into the situation when a customer's temporary tags are about to expire and the license plates still haven't come in. In a nutshell, she said that there are multiple ways that type of situation are handled, and it would be at the discretion of the finance manager. I asked her AGAIN to be informed specifically of what those various ways were - which she continued to respond in a rude (in my opinion) fashion by saying, "that's up to the finance manager." I then asked her to speak to a manager since she didn't seem to want to respond to my question, and she told me the finance manager wasn't in. I clarified that I wanted to speak to ANY manager since she was being rude about a situation that was no fault of my own. She responded by saying no managers would be in until 9am. I let her know that I would be calling back at 9am, and that I would be speaking with a manager about the issue of not receiving my license plates in a timely fashion, and I would be informing the manager of her poor and rude customer service! My situation was bad, my credit was less than perfect, and after explaining this to Dixie she convinced me to come into the store and bragged about Allen Moody being able to work wonders! I was upside down on my car and honestly had to stay within a budget but I wanted what I wanted, and Juan and Allen understood that. After looking over my credit, determining what I could qualify for and showing me a car I never thought I could get alone, Allen the finance guy went to work while Juan and I test drove the car! While driving Juan mentioned that if he wasn't certain I could get this car he wouldn't have had me test drive. Because I was concerned that the test drive was a waste of time! "Come on have a little faith" is what Juan said to me! When we came back Allen had everything worked out, and an unbelievable interest rate, financed through Nissan... The best part of my experience was that got what I wanted, and they weren't greedy, getting me into a car in my price may not have been the most money they've made off a deal but they definitely earned my trust and loyalty!! Thank all of you so much!! I love my 2014 Nissan Altima Sport!! More

After visiting a few dealers, I didn’t want to go to any more. The problem was that I still didn’t know what car I wanted. So, we went to the Chicago Auto Show, where we were able to identify the exact car we wanted. We came home and looked up the closest Nissan dealer to our home, but they didn’t have the car I wanted. So our search spread out, farther and farther away; calling more and more dealers trying to find my perfect car. Finally we called Southlake Nissan in Merrillville, Indiana, and talked with Dixie. Dixie is amazing. She has and incredible amount of energy. Her perseverance in finding us the perfect car was unmatched. While other dealers tried to steer us into settling for a car that they had in stock, Dixie made it her mission to find us our perfect car. She even got her dealerships manager involved (who worked some magic) and secured the car that no other dealer in the entire Chicago metropolitan area could. Not only that, but she made sure that we got all the advertised promotions that were running at the time. She was a pleasure to deal with. Once we came to her dealership to purchase the car, Dixie passed us off to regular sales person, who was very helpful in completing our new car purchase. But it was truly the effort, energy, perseverance, and cheerful “can-do” attitude of Dixie herself, who turned us into satisfied customers of Southlake Nissan. I would not hesitate to seek out her assistance for buying a new car . In fact, she is the very first person I would go to. Dixie is wonderful, and clearly she has the support of an excellent dealership behind her. More
