Greg McDevitt was great to work with. Very responsive and kept me informed as I was looking for a specific make and model. Once their acquired the type of car I was looking for, worked with my schedule to ensure I could get into to test drive and ultimately purchase the vehicle. I also liked his no pressure approach to sales. I had test driven a different car and didn't like it and Greg genuinely seemed to want to make sure the car he sold me was perfect for me. Would highly recommend Toy Barn and Greg. More

Started with an inquiry about a vehicle, and ended up purchasing. The whole sale was pretty much done through the phone/texting. Communication was great. Test drive went well. There was no pressure from purchasing. The whole sale was pretty much done through the phone/texting. Communication was great. Test drive went well. There was no pressure from my sales guy, Greg. Next time I’m in the market for a car, I will definitely be checking in with them! Thanks again, Greg! More

"Death Trap"Part 2...I feel I should reintroduce myself since I took down the last review, wont make that mistake again,I am James,A Veteran and a 100% disabled person and my girlfriend is Suzanne,a health since I took down the last review, wont make that mistake again,I am James,A Veteran and a 100% disabled person and my girlfriend is Suzanne,a healthcare worker that has been at work EVERY DAY she was scheduled to work and MORE during this entire pandemic.I went in this past Sat to speak with Chris Scott to talk about the Death Trap we were baited into buying by their own salesman that by admission per Mark, the GM,they have had problems with in the past.I'm guessing Ryan baited someone else into believing they were"buying the best Camaro he had ever seen" before and management had to bail him out. Ryan even had the gull to call and say"Well, the car sure looks good" &"I can't believe the springs aren't even attached to the car" after we had our independent inspection,By a very reputable and highly thought of mechanic that has his shop longer than "The Toy Barn". Anyway, lets get back toSat,after asking Ryan where Chris might be I was taken to where he was,Chris was busy with another customer showing some features on a Mercedes,i hope he also told them that the springs could potentially not be attached to the car and the Mercedes probably had an oil leak but its nothing because its not major.I spoke with a couple of other guys, let them know who I was looking for and why I was there...the whole time standing right in front of the car that Chris was working with so he would see me, meanwhile, who I later in the day found out to be the GM looking up at me from his computer screen while I told everybody else what was I was there for...after waiting for 20 min to speak with Chris about our Death Trap Suzanne sent me a text that Travis had called from the service dept,on my way to the service dept,Mark finally approached me and asked if I was James....hmmm,yep!!!! After his comments about Ryan and the difficulty he has in the past Mark opened up with the springs and how they had been ordered and if no more parts were needed for that job they hoped that would be ready by Tuesday afternoon. That he was going to be a nice guy and lube the brake system even though he had just admitted to me in conversation that they were also aware that some of these cars sit around in not excellent conditions and things dry up....YOU WOULD THINK THAT IF THEY CLAIM TO BE A HIGH END USED CAR DEALERSHIP THAT SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS WOULD BE PRIORITY" and that one of the first things they would "INSPECT" would be brakes so the cars would actually stop BUT no here at "The Toy Barn'you spend your hard earned money to buy a car that you have to take to another shop to make sure its ok to even drive the xxxx thing. Then in the same comment mark says they aren't going to fix the oil leak between the engine and transmission even though our independent inspection showed that the leak could've been made possible by the slamming of the engine on the ground when the front springs weren't attached to the car...He referred back to the car had sat for a while and the gasket probably dried out,its still an issue....any fluids leaking from any Death Trap is not going to fix itself for free and will ALWAYS lead to bigger problems....at this point in our conversation I am starting to question either the knowledge of people in this business or if he really thinks I am that stupid. Then the icing on the cake...he said "Oh,i saw on the inspection that you thought we greased the back brake, we did the emergency brake" I almost broke out in laughter. I knew then I was getting the story, never in ANY conversation I had with ANYBODY in service or the independent inspection was there EVER any conversation about greasing the emergency brake or that there could have EVER been any issue with that part of the car until Mark brought it up.At that point I was still waiting to talk to Chris and noticed he was no longer with the Mercedes customer and not there.Mark and I talked a little more and then I left him to see if I could find Chris just to reintroduce myself since I AM 100% positive that someone told him I was there to see him.As I walk out the front door Chris is walking thru the parking lot talking on his phone thru the his ear piece he's walked right in front of me past me he hangs up the phone and kept right on walking with his nose in the air like he didn't even see me and went right into the shop.Very professional Chris, most other people call that something else...you walked right past me like you're more important than the Death Trap your boy sold us....sorry not just impressed by nice white shoes I got a whole closet FULL of them too....I am impressed by respect, something that you and the entire sales staff have shown none to us.Your boy Ryan baited us into"the finest Camaro" he'd ever seen and now you gotta cover him, again. From now on my name is Mr.Humphres when I come to "The toy Barn" Now for the finish...of course there are ZERO loaner cars, according to Travis in service the loaner cars are booked a month out....WOW,does that mean they only have one or does that mean they sell so many xxx' that people actually keep coming back to have there cars serviced by the same people that sold them the crap to begin with.I am thinking that no matter what "The Toy Barn"would never have a loaner for us to use, we aren't good enough, even though I have more respect in my little finger than anyone there. So,we were baited into buying a car that by independent inspection should have never been on the road let alone sold to us and now "The Toy Barn" is stating that they will not fix some of the issues that were pointed out in the independent inspection as problems, not minor issues like Mark claims. Not to mention the fact that if the new lowering springs do not work they want us to pay for stock springs. That will not be what we wanted to buy when we were told about the car by Ryan...THAT IS THE SWITCH PART of the "bait and switch" scheme, tell you that you are getting one thing but in return all you are getting is a failed project car. Lets not forget the fact that I am disabled, a vet and Suzanne is in healthcare and the Attorney General is supposed to protect us from people like this. And even though some of these things seem to be an every day occurrence here they have ZERO conscience to actually sell a high end car and will put a car on the road that is undriveable for the sake of a profit and commission. Is everybody in sales a manager, everybodies cards say they are some kind of management My next step is to contact the State of Ohio Attorney General and file a complaint with them. In November of 2019 I purchased a 2017 Audi a4 for a price that was conmencerate with Kelly blue book values, and having purchased from the barn before, felt good buying again. Realizing that personnel price that was conmencerate with Kelly blue book values, and having purchased from the barn before, felt good buying again. Realizing that personnel turnover is regular thing in the car sales business, a familiar friendly face is a big deal to me. That face was Greg McDevitt, he remembered me from my prior purchase years ago and really made me feel at ease thru the whole process. I has since referred several friends to him for their car wants and needs. More
