They added on additional charges after already settling on an out the door price and forced me to pay more than what I signed for initially. Our salesperson Matt was incredibly unprofessional, swinging a giant vape around me and my mom the entire process and frankly didn’t care that he messed up the out the door price. Whoopsie daisy! It seems like this review took a wrong turn, like driving with a GPS on the fritz. While we appreciate the creativity, we're not the ones you're looking for.
CarSmart is all about smooth rides and happy vibes, not fits or spam calls. But hey, kudos for outsmarting those pesky spam callers with the burner number!
If you're ever in the market for a vehicle or just want to chat about car trivia, swing by and let's steer this conversation in the right direction. 🚗😄

Thanks for the light-hearted response, but unfortunately, this isn't a case of mistaken identity or a GPS glitch, I'm very certain it was your dealership. I appreciate the invitation to chat about car trivia, but perhaps we should first address how customer data is being handled? It’s important to keep things transparent and professional, especially when it comes to credit inquiries and personal information.
While the idea of using a burner number might have injected some humor into the situation, the core issue of receiving unwanted spam remains serious. Let's ensure that practices at CarSmart are as smooth as the rides you're selling. Looking forward to a genuine resolution rather than steering around the problem.
Best,

I want to assure you that Matthew is not involved in the situation you're describing, and he would never engage in such behavior. Without direct evidence of the allegations you're making, I'm unsure of what action you're expecting me to take.
We've been operating for 25 years without any accusations of this nature, so I'm puzzled by why you believe Matthew is involved. I would appreciate it if you could provide more transparency regarding your reasons for suspecting him.

Gary, I want to clarify that I'm not implying that you're being dishonest. I appreciate your concerns and your willingness to discuss this matter openly. What I'm asking for is whether you have direct evidence to support the claims you're making. I take allegations like this very seriously, as maintaining the integrity of our organization is of utmost importance to me.
If you have any evidence or specific details about when this incident occurred and how Matthew was involved, I would like to review them. Transparency and accountability are essential values at our company, and I am committed to addressing any issues promptly and thoroughly.

Gary, allow me to clarify your statement. If I understand correctly, approximately 9 or 10 months ago, you visited our dealership, test drove a Mustang, and subsequently began receiving spam calls on your secondary phone later that day. Is that accurate?

Who is responding first and foremost?

I didn't buy a car from I'm assuming your son or nephew, Matthew. Immediately after leaving the dealership, I began receiving texts from being signed up for credit applications, and healthcare quotes, and that kept going on for at least a month. That is very unprofessional. You don't know the seemingly absurd amount of spam calls and texts I received as a result. I'm very seriously considering taking this a step further, as it very much violates privacy laws.

Southernman responded
Oh, now I am being called a liar. Interesting stance. But, I hate to burst your bubble, it was in fact Matthew. I even checked the photos of your sales team, 150% without a doubt, it was him. I have a great idea actually, sit him down and let him know how serious this probably will be, and will get, concerning privacy laws. I'm sure at the time he thought it was funny. Why don't you go ask him about a guy who test drove a white Mustang, back last summer. I'm sure it will jog some memories. Especially when you give him the name of "Gary", which is my name. Or you guys can play dumb. We shall see.

Southernman responded
I understand the importance of evidence in such matters, and I appreciate your commitment to integrity and transparency.
To provide specific details as you requested: The incident occurred last summer when I visited your dealership to test drive a white 2010 oir 2011 Mustang. After my visit, I started receiving unsolicited texts and calls as a result of unauthorized credit and healthcare inquiries, which I believe were initiated by your team, specifically Matthew, based on my interactions that day. Your dealership is the only place visited that day.
I recognize the complexity of such allegations and the potential implications for your business, which is why I am raising this concern directly with you rather than taking immediate legal action. I believe this is a fair chance for us to resolve this matter internally. However, if we cannot find a satisfactory resolution, I may need to consider further steps to protect my privacy rights.
I hope we can address this issue constructively. Please feel free to reach out if you need any more information from my end to facilitate your investigation.
Best regards,
Gary

few issues with some scratches in the hood and surface scratches as well. Just worked with me and gave an IOU to get the hood re-painted,buffed and have new key made. Everything was great until 1/14/2022 exactly 30 days after purchasing the vehical I pulled into the driveway and noticed smoke coming from the rear drivers side. I sent Matthew a Video of the smoke and had gotten no response. After a few weeks I took it in to have the hood painted and scratches buffed out, I asked them to look at what the issue was with the rear drivers side and cam back and said the Axel Seal was bad and said I would have to pay to have repaired. I did not get an extended warranty but questioned it because they where the ones that had put the lift and new wheels and tires o before purchasing. I asked about the 3 month 3,000 mile warranty and was told that it wasn’t covered. Once I received the Jeep back I noticed that it had more scratches on the top that look as if someone had hit it with a wand from power washing and the newly painted hood had swirl marks on it as if it was a few years old. I eventually spoke with the owner and thought we had hashed it out with him telling me that it would all be taken care of and not to worry. The week before I was supposed to take it back in I asked him about dropping it off and he then informed me that he would cover the labor to take care of the seals and give me cost on everything else. We had spoke about putting in new rotors and pads that I had bought and Informed me over the phone not to worry that it would be taken care of, and now all of a sudden it changed. I asked him to just get me a price to see how much it would be and he ghosted me and never responded back. The Jeep still had scratches all over it and when you look on there website I’d states that all of there vehicals go through a multi-point inspection and also goes through a 5-Stage Paint correction process. If that was the case I believe that the scratches should have been resolved and that the seal would have been replaced because seals do not go out in a 30 day period. Also after I mentioned about the scratches being on top of the Jeep the response I got was I should have checked it out, but why should I check the top of the Jeep when they weren’t there when i dropped it off. So I will be taken care of the scratches and the rear seals myself because apparently they don’t work to have a lifetime customer but to make just a sale and forget the rest. Note: This Survey doesn’t reflect on Justin my salesman but to Guy and Matthew for neglecting to take ownership and resolving a small issue with it a 30 day period. NOTE: 2/11/2022 Update from taking it to my local garage, owner called me and informed me that I wasn’t the axel seals but it was the rear caliper not releasing all the way causing the pads and rotor to continually make contact and making it smoke. But he also found that the entire rear axel had no fluid in it at all, you would think that that would have been checked with the so called multi point inspection before they market vehicles and to their mechanic shop actually knowing what the problem was. So at this point I’m roughly $1k extra I to this Jeep just to make it sound where I can trust my wife to drive it without having to worry. So I guess the moral to this story is if your gonna but from this dealership do your research and if you know of someone that can look over the vehicle for you do it before purchasing!!!!

Guy, it wasn’t just about the paint, We messaged each other on Friday 2/4/2022 in regards to dropping the vehicle off on 2/9/2022 and asked about having the mechanical part of the Jeep repaired as well and when you told me that there was a cost that was going to incur I asked you to get me a price before dropping it off and I never heard back from you sir. To me it felt as if your where done with this issue, and I needed to have this issue taken care of: and it just wasn’t about the paint it was about issue at hand in regards to the rear axel problem. And it wasn’t even what the guy at the repair shop said it was, so i was gonna pay for something that didn’t needed to be done. Not having any fluid in the rear axel could have caused a lot mor damage if not caught, I would have thought something like that would have been checked and resolved on the pre-inspection. I know I am not the only customer you have to deal with but all you had to have done was reach back out after I asked:
