Jill first joined Subaru of Gwinnett in 2003 as a receptionist. She took a leap of faith when she accepted a service advisor position at Subaru of Gwinnett nine years ago and has been helping Subaru customers maintain their beloved Subaru vehicles ever since. Jill has been recognized as a top service advisor in her field by Subaru of America and consistently maintains the highest of customer satisfaction ratings. I had a mixed experience. The individuals I worked with - Shaun, Issa, and above all, service manager Jill Thurston, were uniformly great. The problems were 1) that I had an appointment to get a part replaced and nobody called to tell me "don't come, the part hasn't arrived." Also, (2) I had originally come to have a specific problem checked AND to have the car checked overall for roadworthiness for a driving trip. Turned out that the service personnel look at the date on the oil change sticker to see if an oil change is due, and DON"T ACTUALLY CHECK THE OIL LEVEL!! Naturally, having been told all was ready, I drove out and immediately got a low oil warning. An oil change (with detergent to ensure the float indicator wasn't sticky) fixed that, but it could have easily been noticed on the initial check instead of requiring another visit. I understand that this practice is going to be changed, and the techs will actually take the 30 seconds required to check the dipstick, so hopefully nobody else has that particular experience. More
