Searching the Internet I found a Class Action lawsuit explaining a possible manufacturing problem of its "Short Block (engine)". In the TSB it described a test which Stohlman was happy to initiate. After 2450 miles I had used 2+ quarts of oil. When presented with the results, Stohlman immediately order a new 2015 engine block and handled all the replacement at no charge. So now my 2012 has a 2015 engine and it is running well. They also gave me a whole bunch of oil to cover my usage for 2+ years. They have been always helpful explaining what is being serviced and why. It is nice to be able to trust a dealership. Jim M. More

I have introduced my children to the Stohlman family. Over these years and with each purchase or service, Stohlman has treated me and my family with the utmost care, concern, regard and respect. Every section at Stohlman's- sales, service and finance work in unison and pay the same level of attention to me and my family. Such unparalleled service and care over these decades has not lost its integrity, vigor or enthusiasm. This is unique, commendable and we as a family are lucky and privileged to be taken care in this fashion. We echo these sentiments once again experienced during our most recent purchase of a brand new 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6R. Once again, outstanding through and through at all levels- sales (sales person to the sales manager to the general sales manager), financing and service (service advisor to the general manger of service). Extremely respectful staff without any unwanted pressures or gimmicks. They know their cars- from the smallest detail. Pricing negotiation was absolutely easy and quick and the final pricing was the best (the lowest) for the region with special recognition for loyalty. Financing and other paperwork was seamless, educational and yet quick and extremely well streamlined. Suggestions offered towards purchases of accessories or extended warranty or service agreements were very helpful and customized to our driving habits and needs. Recommend, once again, Stohlman's at Tyson's without any reservations- the best for the region. More

I was shopping around and found Stohlman Subaru and spoke to Gabriel (sales expert) was very aggressive but gave be a great price for my new forester 2014. I started using my forester for a week or so and to Gabriel (sales expert) was very aggressive but gave be a great price for my new forester 2014. I started using my forester for a week or so and unfortunately my front right tire got flat out by causing a small screw getting in and I end up replacing NEW tire. The tire will not cover the warranty however I paid in full and start driving my car and I noticed my car is pulling to right and I was quite no happy and went back and fourth for couple of time and the service team did an alignment check, replace the right arm but still having same problem. Finally, I when to sales manager Richard Hanna who was a gentleman took complete ownership of my car and fix it with in 1 days. The reason I'm explaining here is that if you ever buy a new car from stohlman showroom and you have issue pertaining to your car than Stohlman will provide you a great and excellent service. I would like to thank Joe Lishman, Richard Hanna, Ahmad and finally Gabriel. I would certainly recommend everyone to go to this dealership if you are looking for a great customer service. More

In August I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Volkswagen from ANOTHER dealer. Soon after purchasing the vehicle, I experienced problems with the disc brakes and brought the vehicle into Stohlman Volkswagen from ANOTHER dealer. Soon after purchasing the vehicle, I experienced problems with the disc brakes and brought the vehicle into Stohlman Automotive to diagnose the problem. My service advisor informed me that the front and rear disc brakes needed to be replaced. I was extremely concerned that the problem arose so soon after purchasing the CPO vehicle, as the brake problem should have been fixed before the vehicle was sold to me by this other dealership. The repair was not covered by the VW CPO warranty, so I contacted VW of America Customer Service to lodge a complaint. The total price of the repairs as quoted by Stohlman was nearly $1,100. VW of America agreed to provide me with a $500 credit towards the repair. After then speaking with Stohlman Service Manager Joe Lishman, he understood my problem and promised to speak with VW of America and take care of the situation for me. Despite the fact that Stohlman was not in any way responsible for the initial problem, Joe worked with VW of America and ultimately directed his team to install new front and rear brake pads and rotors on my vehicle AT NO COST TO ME. Stohlman Automotive went above and beyond my expectations in resolving a problem that was caused by another dealership in the first place. I am very pleased with the service provided by Stohlman and would not hesitate to use or recommend them in the future. More

I took my '07 Outback in for a 60k mile service yesterday. I also asked them to look at a vibration in the steering wheel I had noticed when driving at higher speeds. I don't have any major complai yesterday. I also asked them to look at a vibration in the steering wheel I had noticed when driving at higher speeds. I don't have any major complaints, but their customer service was rather sloppy and a bit disingenuous. First, I told the gentleman who scheduled the service that I wouldn't need the oil changed because I had just had that done. Apparently the message was not passed along, and they performed the completely unnecessary service anyway. Even if the message wasn't passed along, one would think that the perfectly clean, brand new, oil would be a clue. I had also told the scheduler that my check engine light was on because of a loose gas cap, something which had happened before and which I had zero concern about. But when the sales representative called me to tell me how the service was going, it was clear that this information was not relayed either, and he tried to make it sound like they had caught some big problem until I told him it had happened before and then he admitted that it was the gas cap. Next, the sales representative told me that the vibration in the steering wheel could be caused by the low quality tires on the car. The tires, however, are Yokohama Avid Envigor high performance grade, with quite a bit of life left on them. From then on, he had no credibility in my eyes and I tuned him out when he tried to sell me on a bunch of add-ons. I assume the service was fine; I'm not a mechanic, but everything seemed to be operating fine. But that probably has more to do with the quality of the car and the fact that I take fairly good care of it. I would just like more forthright dealings with sales representatives. I have had a customer service issue with this place before and the reason I took it back here is the convenience and price, but I'll now consider other places. AMENDED I promptly got a call from the representative and he apologized for the miscommunication between himself, the scheduler, and those performing the work. He offered a free oil change and honored a coupon I had forgotten about yesterday. Like I said, my complaints were not major and Stohlman's attentiveness to them was a pleasant surprise. More

2003 VW Beetle Convertible, experiencing the transmission problem associated with the valve body. I had read online about horror stories working with dealerships who wouldn't acknowledge the problem but Bobb problem associated with the valve body. I had read online about horror stories working with dealerships who wouldn't acknowledge the problem but Bobby at Stohlman told me it was covered and would be no problem. I also had the oil changed. Picked up the car, nice day so I go to put the windows down and GRIND GRIND GRIND the driver's side window doesn't go down. This model has a problem with the windows in the doors and I'm always gentle with it, apparently whoever was in my car while it was at the dealership was not. So I go back inside and explain. The manager Joe Lishman tells me there's no way they could have damaged the window regulator mechanism but that since this model has trouble he'd be willing to install it for free if I buy the part. Well, with this model if you open or close the door you're running the risk of damaging the window but fine, let's do that. Come back again to pick up the car, the window is not working properly. The one touch feature isn't working, and the window doesn't go up and down as you enter and exit the car (the anti-pinch feature for the convertible roof). Bobby says it looks like the switch so I have to come back a third time. Now Bobby tells me it's not the switch, it's the motor, and the problem is internal to the motor so they could not have caused it. The window was working fine before I brought it in the first time, the switch was working fine before the regulator was replaced, and now I've got a motor issue. Something new just happens to break every time I bring it back to get fixed for a problem caused by the dealership in the first place. Thanks for making my car worse. More

Joe is an unfriendly, disrespectful idiot. I went in there looking to fix my car and he pulled me away from one of the friendly helpful supervisors because they were busy helping someone else.
