The worst experience ever!! I bought my VW at the KING VW In July. Chris the salesperson treats you like he’s doing you a favor,l. John Scott “one of their finance people” Promised for a free oil change, and when The car is ready for an oil changed, they said John is no longer working here so we can’t honor what he promise. Bait and Switch Tactics - and will not accept NO as answer Kambiz Khadempour, the online salesperson from King VW contacted me after my online inquiry about a NEW 2015 Volkswagen - mind you this is the year 20 Kambiz Khadempour, the online salesperson from King VW contacted me after my online inquiry about a NEW 2015 Volkswagen - mind you this is the year 2020. Thinking it was a hurricane car from Sandy, I asked what the backstory on it was. He texted me that it was a NY car and the info was online. No explanation of why it was listed as NEW, just a request to come see it. When I continued to ask about the NEW status, he eventually said it had 54,000+ miles and he said it was a third party advertiser that was responsible for the mistake. It seemed like a bit of a bait and switch and I told him so. I ended the conversation and blocked further contact by replaying STOP to the text system as indicated - yet he continues to reach out via my email, this time with a snarky comment: -------------------------------------------------------------- From: Kambiz Khadempour [mailto:kambizk@KingVW.net] Sent: Friday, June 19, 2020 2:23 PM To: tcronin@bellsouth.net Subject: jetta Hi Tim, Did you happen to work for Central Intelligence Agency? Terrible Salesperson. I'd avoid this dealership if possible. We had an off putting experience as soon as we stepped in. We unfortunately were assigned Kambiz Khadempour as our salesperson. He didn't properly introduce himself nor shake our hands which is in stark contrast compared to the other dealerships on the block who were all very friendly. He really made it seem like we were inconveniencing him for wanting to know more about the Golf GTI. Not only did he not seem knowledgeable about the specifications, he seemed to be disgruntled and condescending. The majority of our questions were met with silence and when he did decide to answer our questions they would be short, condescending, and a touch argumentative. The thing that really put me off personally was that he barely addressed me even though I asked most of the questions. I was the one who asked for the catalog to see the different trims to compare the specs, it took him an unpleasantly long time to print it out off the website and he handed it to my husband even though I had my hand out to receive it. The final straw was the unusually long wait time for him to pull the car up so that we could test drive it. He was gone for a good 10+ minutes. We felt that we had waited long enough and decided to leave after voicing our complaints to the manager. Surprisingly as we walked out, the Golf GTI we had requested was sitting at the curb with no one around. We honestly have no idea where Mr. Khadempour went. If Volkswagen is reading this, let it be known that we decided against purchasing a VW due to this experience alone. We will be taking our business with another company. More

I sent a message to the salesperson that I have been working with previously a note, asking if they could match the price from another dealer and received a very emotionally-driven and discriminatory response. While they may claim to have the lowest prices in town, they should invest in sensitivity training for their staff. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, until this issue gets resolved. More

I received a response asking me when can I come and see and test drive it and I went less than 2 hours later, only to find out that it was SOLD ALREADY YESTERDAY!!! The salesman wasn't even apologetic and he was trying to sell me another car. More

Stay Away! Folks: This is my first review of a car dealership ever. I have purchased 5 new cars and 3 used cars in my 45 years of life so far. However, my exp Folks: This is my first review of a car dealership ever. I have purchased 5 new cars and 3 used cars in my 45 years of life so far. However, my experience with King was so unique that I am compelled to spend my precious time in service of the public. I will give objective facts and let you decide. I leased a Jetta SE Automatic 2017 model from here. I walked in with not a lot of research but just one of the internet price advertised in email. Turns out getting the advertised price is more difficult than getting your teeth pulled alive. To qualify for the advertised price, you have to be born a royalty in ten-ringed Saturn and have three hands and only a half eye :-) (well really speaking you need to be working for a very specific set of employers AND need to have a very specific trade-in which they will make money from AND need to select a very specific lowest of the low-end model AND be a recent college graduate). They will even show you a 'secret' spreadsheet with all kinds of numbers and discounts - only serving to justify the price they want to sell you at. In addition, they would want you to buy accessories and freight $800 always springs in last. I worked with Kambiz and later on Lev and Diako stepped in. To advertise over mass media to broad public a price that a very very minute fraction of public MIGHT qualify - is unethical business practice. I run a business myself so I know that this type of blatantly misleading advertising should earn them LESS business not more - over a period of time. I leased the vehicle including a protection plan which I was allowed to cancel within 60 days. I emailed them my cancellation and followed up by a phone message (Mr Chuck Muller in Finance Dept) within first 30 days. He said you will automatically receive credit in your finance account within a couple of weeks. In reality, it took me close to 25 MORE follow-ups including emails, un-replied phone calls, personal visits to dealerships and threats to get my money back after a good 5-6 months. He justified it by saying that he forgot to send the cancellation paperwork to VW credit and only remembered that after 3 months of my time-consuming follow-ups. A friend of mine got the exact same car for less money and less hassle from a straightforward dealer in Northern Virginia. My advice is before you get hooked into any advertised price, please do research over phone/email and get the net number before you walk in - this will save you a lot of time and grief. That is if you do end up going to this dealership. To prove this is a genuine review, I am willing to show my invoice from the transaction. Good luck in your car hunt! More

Terrible Customer Service/Communication I emailed over 10 dealers in the DC and Baltimore area to get a price quote on a 2017 Jetta. All dealers had very similar, if not the same car in sto I emailed over 10 dealers in the DC and Baltimore area to get a price quote on a 2017 Jetta. All dealers had very similar, if not the same car in stock. King VW was the only dealer that would not give me a quote via email. They would not answer my simple questions or give me anything other than the e-price listed on the website that included all rebates and incentives, although they would not tell me which ones they actually were using. Michael Bout was unresponsive to my questions, so I went to the sales manger Diako Akhundzadeh, who gave me a vague quote which looked too good to be true. Three follow up emails to him to confirm the quote went unanswered. Finally as a last resort I emailed every salesperson in the shop with an appeal to confirm a price for the car. Only Kambiz Khadempour responded, but again no quote. Every other dealer I contacted worked with me and gave me a firm out-the-door price for the Jetta, but King only wants you to come in to the dealership. They may be fine if you go in to work with them in person, but forget trying to make any kind of internet sales deal. Final result: horrible on-line experience, vague grammarless email responses and an evident disregard for their customers. More

Poor interaction with Salesman I had contacted this dealership through its online portal to retrieve information on pricing since I was already 95% sure I wanted to purchase a 2017 I had contacted this dealership through its online portal to retrieve information on pricing since I was already 95% sure I wanted to purchase a 2017 VW Passat. This resulted in Kambiz Khadempour responding to my request. The price quoted included all rebates, which I did not qualify for. My follow up email stated: "Could you give me the price only with the partners program rebate as previously requested?". Kambiz's response was: "The on line price includes all rebates such as VW partner.Otherwise ,pricve would increase by $500.00." Aside from the obvious grammar and spelling errors, it was immediately clear that his response was lazy and did not sufficiently answer my previous question. The lack of clarity and professionalism quickly turned me away from this dealership due to my experience with a particular salesman. After a follow up from the dealership, I explained why I decided to take my business elsewhere, with which he responded with (and this is a direct copy and paste): "All my responses have been prompt and to the point.Due to customer's laziness to come to the dealer and inconsideration for salesman's time and effort best not to have a customer like you. Thanks for nohing." The response was rude and uncalled for, which prompted me to post this review. I hope that others have a better experience than I had. More

From the time I contacted the dealership till the time of purchase, I had a great experience. The staff from sale and finance were very friendly and helpful. I felt very good and was very happy with the experience. And I am intending to take the car there for its maintenance. More
