Dear Alexa, We understand your frustration regarding the purchase of your leased car and the delay in processing the paperwork. When you bought the vehicle, we did inform you that it could take up to 10 business days to complete the transaction due to the necessity of waiting for your title to arrive and re-register the car, as required by the Mass RMV because Nissan owned the vehicle initially. During the purchase process, we provided you and your father with a detailed explanation of the situation and the recommended solution, which involved purchasing a different car to avoid waiting for the title to re-register your current vehicle. Robbie, our General Manager, even spoke to your aunt and offered an additional $2,000 over the trade-in value for your car, allowing you to lease back your Rogue at cost. We also took care of the necessary repairs, including tires and brakes, to pass the Mass Inspection, and certified the vehicle with a warranty lasting 7 years/100,000 miles from the date of service. We understand that the car was delivered with a cracked windshield, and we promptly took action to resolve the issue. Robbie arranged an appointment with Safelite for the windshield repair, but upon your request, we provided you with a loaner car and brought your vehicle back to the store for repair to accommodate your schedule. Unfortunately, Safelite initially sent the wrong windshield, leading to a delay in the replacement process. However, rather than just filling the crack as advised by Safelite, we opted to replace the entire windshield for you, free of charge. We apologize for any inconvenience and frustration caused by this situation. Yup you told my aunt one thing, and then me another. You told her I could “trade in” the car I bought for my old rogue with a loan term of 60 months, with about a $365 payment. Then only hours later you turned around and told me something totally different with a longer loan term, and a $550 payment. Also telling her my car had to sit on the lot for seven days, who doesn’t need a car for seven days?

Hi Alexa, We understand how confusing it can be to understand state laws and the role they play in dealership operations. As a dealership, we tried our best to explain our constrictions based on these laws. We even explained the legality to multiple members of your family, which we prefer not to do because it leads to “he said she said” as it did in this case.
