I trusted Susan in the used car department to be honest and uphold her word(s).
I was hesitant to purchase a used car sight unseen. Susan shook my hand and looked me in the eyes and "I promise I'll take good care of you." multiple times. It was my naivety believing her and the finance person, and the used care manager. Don't EVER BUY A CAR WITHOUT test driving it. Susan told me the car would be ready by Tuesday, well within the 5 day limit to return a used car. Somehow the car wasn't ready until that Thursday. 1 week past the signed contract date. I asked to void the sale. The male manager told me,"It's too bad, it's already been sold."
I had brought my DD 214 into the dealership that Wednsday. I was told by Susan and others that it would only take a few minutes when I picked up the car since they had all the required documents. The day I picked up the vehicle, I made an appointment for my dog for her injury 3 hours after my scheduled pick up time. On my way, Susan called and told me I had to sign some more documents. I asked her how long, "just a few minutes." Well, I missed my dog's appointment because I was there over 2 hours! I specifically asked Susan if there was a problem w/ the financing. "oh, there's no problem." Well, that was another lie. I got financed but they had to go to another credit union. Supposedly the car had been detailed by Susan. There was a foam sticky circle stuck on the dashboard. I asked Susan if she saw it, she said no, show me. So, I did, "oh yeah I saw that." To add insult to injury, it was over 100 degrees that day. I was getting ready to leave, when Susan stopped me and told me I couldn't leave because she didn't have the truck keys and what did I do w/ them. I gave her the keys when I walked into the nightmare. So, I had to wait outside for another 20 minutes waiting for her to find the key.
I was going to MN to see my sister. I was checking the car to make sure I had a jack, spare and put my battery cables in the car. The car was missing the jack. I messaged Susan who told me let me ask my manager about what I can do. I waited a day, no reply, so I went and bought a jack myself.
Oh, they did offer me a free oil change, so I think I have like 3 free oil changes between the finance person, Susan and the one you get w/ purchase.
The moral of my story is don't buy a car without test driving it. It's one thing to mistreat me but to cause harm to an animal is another whole level of cruelty.

Nancy, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take concerns like these seriously and feel it is important to clarify several key points, as there are significant inaccuracies in your account.
This vehicle was purchased at auction specifically at your request, based on very detailed criteria you provided regarding model, color, and equipment. It was a difficult vehicle to locate, and transportation and reconditioning required several days. This timeline was communicated throughout the process.
Regarding the claim of a “5-day return” or “cooling-off period,” New Mexico law does not provide a cooling-off period for in-person vehicle purchases. That provision applies only to certain in-home sales and does not apply to automobile transactions conducted at a dealership. Once the contract was executed, the vehicle was sold.
Susan maintained thorough, time-stamped notes in our dealership CRM throughout this transaction. Those records do not support the claims of misrepresentation, dishonesty, or withheld information regarding financing, delivery timing, or vehicle condition. Financing was successfully completed, which can sometimes require placement with a different lender—this is common and fully disclosed during the process.
With respect to vehicle condition, the vehicle was detailed prior to delivery. Any minor cosmetic concern could have been addressed had it been raised at the time. As for the jack, this is the first time the issue was raised—approximately seven months after the sale. Despite that delay, we offered reimbursement for the jack, which was declined.
At no point were you prevented from leaving the dealership, nor were your keys intentionally withheld. Any suggestion that our staff acted with cruelty—toward you or any animal—is offensive and categorically untrue. Your personal scheduling decisions, including appointments unrelated to the vehicle purchase, were entirely within your control.
We regret that you are dissatisfied, but we stand by our team’s professionalism and the documented facts of this transaction. We remain committed to fair, transparent, and respectful dealings with every customer. Mike L. - Melloy Nissan

I called Susan about the jack. I showed Susan the white foam sticker on the dashboard.
It is nice Melloy Nissan continues to lie.
I was crying at the dealership because I missed my dog's appointment. Thanks for calling me a liar.

I bought the parts. So, it's taken care of. No need to waste your time.
That is the message sent to Susan. Amazing how when I went in my email looking for our correspondence, Susan's emails are gone.
Talk about adding insult to injury. I WAS CRYING AT THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE MISSING MY DOG'S APPOINTMENT. SO, this shows Melloy Nissan's lack of professionalism. If you are the same person I spoke to earlier today, at least that version was professional.
Worst ever in customer service.

Spencer,
We appreciate your feedback but want to clarify that our dealership does not have a Mustang in inventory and no sale has taken place. It seems there may have been some confusion regarding an online advertisement, which featured a generic vehicle listing rather than a specific car available for purchase.
We always strive for clear and accurate communication, and we regret any misunderstanding. If you have any concerns regarding online listings, we recommend reaching out to the platform where the advertisement was viewed.

Rollercoaster - lying.. insulting, thieving - epitome of why people hate car salesmen! Replaced my full size spare for a doughnut while "giving my car an oil change during the sale... I agreed with the man for a 48 month term and somehow ended up signing a 72 month one- I am spectrum autist and was completely shook during the purchase of my vehicle and they knew it- i explained to them that I am spectrum and THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF IT! Im paying about 18k more than i THOUGH i agreed too.... The guy in finance actually said the words (48 months otherwise your just paying on it forever and I AGREED! yet signed a 72 month that i SWEAR he said 48 as we read over it- As well as the fact i was insulted by an employee over my credit rating- the whole experience was traumatizing- and when I asked the guy i bought if from (Moses) about the tire swap- he just laughed at me... I also asked them if someone could go over the workings of the car and they said they didnt have time...

Jenasis, I'm very sorry that you seem less than pleased with your experiences at Melloy Nissan. First, I's like to assure you that we would never exchange a temporary spare tire for a full size spare. Most of the vehicles manufactured today do not have a space large enough for a full size spare tire. In fact, the only Nissan vehicles that accommodate a full size spare are the Frontier, Titan and Armada. As for your statement regarding the term of your loan, we make a video record of all finance transactions and would be more that happy to arrange for you to view the video. I'm sure that upon viewing the recording you will be able to recall that the term was disclosed in your closing. We are always happy to hear from customers, and hope that this has answered your concerns. Mike L.

Please contact Mike Turri, our Finance Director at 505/265-8721. He will be happy to arrange for you to view the video so that you can confirm that you did agree to the 72 month term. Since your transaction was OVER 3 YEARS ago it will take a few days to retrieve your record from our archives.

Moses showed me the full size spare as we looked at the car... He led with it as one of the many perks of the SLAWD edition if it wasn't one, HE LIED! I definitely spent less time looking it over compared to rest of the vehicle (it's a tire, but it looked like a tire, not a doughnut) and I took his word for it. As I said before, he laughed via text message when I asked about the swap . One of the emoticons laughing with tears .. 🤣😂😅 He also said he couldn't make time to walk me through the car after purchase . There are still things I'm unsure of as well as each of the manufacturer recalls and glitches we could have discovered in the process..
AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE VIDEO!!!!;Then we can All hear us agree to a 48 month term as we started the paperwork and we can ALL see how Frustrated he got as I asked Finance Questions... We had to take a break he was so annoyed with my questions! We can also hear me explaining that I'm Spectrum Autistic and how simple math throws me and how ZERO PATIENCE he had with me regardless!

Yes, 3 years ago... All this time I thought it was a 48 month term and thought I was only a year away from paying it off....to my surprise, I'm not! Infact looking at it, only a thousand dollars has come off the amount owed in 3 years of $444 a month payments with financing and only 5k has come off all together. Seems much higher than 22.9%
One of your sales team contacted me last week to try and sell me or me upgrade me due to all the equity I should have.... That's what brought my attention to the 72 vs the 48! I even contacted the loan company thinking they had entered it incorrectly.... But nope, it was yet another mislead by Melloy Nissan Albuquerque and had your finance department been patient and explain in detail like I was asking, and it will show several times on the video--- I WOULD HAVE TAKEN MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! As an Autistic, I was already spinning out from Melloys treatment of me -- but!!! IVE NEVER KNOWINGLY AGREED TO SUCH A LONG TERM it is Rediculous and he and I Both said that initially!!!!! So please, bring on the video. Unedited if you will !!! 27k car, I put down 10k. Financed 17k. Still owe between 12&16 k (w/w.o remaining finance charges) after 3 yrs of $444 payments. Which is 16,000 $. And I called and left Mike a message. What I find Very interesting, is that you know exactly who I am and when it was! This site supposedly doesn't share my information 🥺

Thank you for taking a moment to show your concern. I do want to assure you that our store does not engage in "Yo Yo" finance practices. We rely on the information provided by our customers to obtain finance approvals. When a lender discovers that an applicant has been less than honest or not provided critical information they have the right to cancel an approval. Since this affects our reputation with our lenders as well as our relationship with our customers it is something that we never want to see happen. We are deeply sorry that it did happen with your transaction.

Your dealership was “less than honest” with me and my husband!!!! I called the bank that you supposedly had an approved loan with and they didn’t have anything offered to them on file!! We disclosed everything honestly in the beginning before even signing anything. I was also treated as if I was something less than a human being for being furloughed from my job due to COVID!!! NOT my fault. You people treated me like I was a homeless person coming in off the streets to buy a car. When you come into a dealership saying I have bad credit this is our situation but we want to see if we can buy a vehicle that’s on YOU for being dishonest and having us sign a loan on a vehicle, drive it off the lot and there was never an approved loan in the first place! Not to mention you people trashed my trade in that was returned to me with leaving your trash, dirty hand prints and it smelled like someone was smoking cigarettes in there for weeks. We don’t smoke!! Bottom line——> Horrible customer service and there is NOTHING you can do to make this right.
