The salesman was poorly informed about the vehicle, kept me waiting about three hours to complete paperwork while he juggled other sales at the same time. The Finance person screwed up the paperwork, so he had to reprint and I had to re-sign everything. But then I wasn't happy with the way the front collision avoidance was working. The Service Dept told me to bring the car in and the salesman would show me how it was supposed to work. He couldn't, of course, and then a service rep refused to look at it and accused me of lying about having been told to bring it in. Finally they were supposed to refund me the overage between what I gave them to register the car and what it actually cost. But the person they had register it didn't take the trade into account and so NYS charged sales tax on $11,000 ($811) that was no due. When I called to find out why I had no refund, I was told that not only was there no refund, but that I owed them several hundred dollars more to cover the sales tax. I verified with NYS DMV that the mistake I described had actually been made. But the dealer wanted no part in fixing it, and I could not since DMV would only refund to the person who had paid the sales tax. Unresolved nine months later; the salesman says it's not their responsibility to fix. Letters to the Sales Manager went unacknowledged and unanswered. The entire showroom is festooned with congratulations to the dealership on meeting or exceeding sales objectives. nowhere are there congratulations for satisfied customers. Tells a story. Mentioning this to an acquaintance he told his own tale of poor treatment at that dealership. If you want a Hyundai, buy elsewhere. PS: I "fixed" the front collision avoidance on my own by removing the OEM front license plate holder, buying an aftermarket one, and mounting it higher. Apparently the original holder was blocking an angle of view from the front sensor. More

We did buy a new ca We needed a new car, saw one online and came in to look at it and take a test drive. Matt greeted us as we entered and helped us . We did buy a new car that day ( a tucson). Matt walked us through the process, helping us .... explaining things, sometimes Twice so that we understood. We were overwhelmed that day with all of the new features on the car... He explained it and made sure we got it. He stayed with us the whole afternoon and we drove home our new car. We would like to thank him so much for his patience that day. We highly recommend dealing with Matt for anyone looking for a patient and kind salesman! Thanks Matt. More

HORRENDOUS!!! DISHONEST!!! UNTRUSTWORTHY!!! I got my car from here 3 years ago. Great service. Fast forward to today, what a difference. They will lie to you and try to cheat you at every turn I got my car from here 3 years ago. Great service. Fast forward to today, what a difference. They will lie to you and try to cheat you at every turn. They must have new people. My car was due back this month (March 2019). I received a call from someone named Matt in January 2019. I have 2 months left on my lease so I am not ready to fully get serious about getting another car. At this point I am casually browsing and have narrowed it down to either another Hyundai Santa Fe or a Mazda CX5. So Matt from Danbury Hyundai says he wants to retain my business and get me into another car. So I bite and ask him how much he will give me the car for? He puts me on hold and comes back and says he can give me the car for $31,000. He then tells me my monthly payments will be $549.00. I know how to calculate the monthly price and what goes into it, so I say how is that possible? The price should be much less. He tells me, I am going to go over my numbers to make sure I have it right and call you back. Matt calls me back and leaves a VM (I'm working) now saying (with no explanation) that the cost of the car is $33,470 and the monthly payment is now $539.00. I'm like is this guy crazy. It's as if he is just coming up with numbers off the top of his head. How is it in any way possible that the cost of the car went up by $2,470, but the monthly amount went down by $10. At that point, I say Thank you, but I am not interested. Then, I get an email from Eric. He's trying to get me into a car. I tell him I am not interested because of my experience and he says he wants to help me. As you can imagine, I got more of the same. This time, Eric completely ignores the fact that Matt offered me the car for $31,000. He says the car is $33,470 and the payments are $539.00. He then says he knows I can't afford the car (that's called reverse psychology). I never told him that I could or could not afford the car. It's not even about that. It's about getting the best deal and most of all, NOT GETTING LIED TO AT EVERY TURN! I don't acknowledge/bite on his declaration that I can't afford the car. I simply tell him the numbers do not add up and have changed. At this point I am pretty sure I am not purchasing a car from these liars! Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Eric doubles down on his claims that I can't afford the car. He said he understands I don't like the numbers because I can't afford the car or something similar via phone calls, email (at least 5 separate times). He also says I know you can't afford the car, so maybe you should go somewhere else closer to home. I'm sure his con has worked on other people who were appalled that he said that, but I am not that person. I don't care what you think I can afford. As long as I know I can afford it, I'm good (which is why I never corrected him on his comments). You are not going to make me buy the car for more because my ego is bruised because you claim I can't afford the car. At that point, I was done. I ended up buying the same exact car and paying almost $100 less per month at another dealership. THESE PEOPLE AREN'T EVEN TEAMATES WITH EACH OTHER.... While I was on the phone with Matt, another sales person called me. I said I am already talking to a sales person on the other line and he said my manager told me to call you and I can take care of you. Days later, another sales person called; meanwhile, Eric was emailing me. SHADY! Things to remember: If Hyundai is offering an incentive, #1, make sure you get it and #2 the dealership is getting reimbursed. So if the dealership is only giving you the manufacturers incentive, they are essentially getting the car for full MSRP price. If you are already in a Hyundai, you are entitled to a loyalty discount (usually $500). This is also offered by Hyundai USA and the dealership will also be reimbursed for that. Incentives and loyalty/military discounts are all reimbursed to the dealership, so remember that as you are trying to get the best price you can! More
