Buying a Car Made Easy and Enjoyable I can't praise the sales and finance team at this dealership enough. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay before I set foot in any deale I can't praise the sales and finance team at this dealership enough. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay before I set foot in any dealerships. At Subaru of Belmont I got sweet-talked and manipulated by a salesman who thought he could take me for a ride. I promptly left and never returned. By contrast, Ken Bettano, the Sales Manager at Subaru of Wakefield took me seriously from the moment he shook my hand. I told him what I wanted and didn't want and that I had compared prices through various online car marketplaces for the region. He asked some pointed questions, checked his inventory, and then made me a deal I couldn't refuse on a 2017 Crosstrek. No nonsense. No condescension. I took the vehicle for a test drive with my salesman, Nelson Molina, who was patient, polite and charming. Nelson handled the rest of the sale with great efficiency and good humor--and we definitely tried his patience by having him stay beyond the store's closing for which I am very sorry but most grateful! I went in at the end of the day on Sunday and had my new car by the next afternoon. If buying a car was this easy and painless I might not wait nearly 18 years before I do it again! I wholeheartedly recommend this dealership! More

Beautiful Car, Beautiful People I knew I wanted a Subaru Legacy and shopped online and went to a different Subaru dealership before coming to Wakefield. This was my first time buying I knew I wanted a Subaru Legacy and shopped online and went to a different Subaru dealership before coming to Wakefield. This was my first time buying a car, and was nervous. At the other dealership I was very put off - I felt like the salesman was snakey, ordered me around and tried to push me into something above my budget refusing to show me other options. I had the total opposite experience at Wakefield. Perry was completely straightforward, transparent and trustworthy. Not only did I get the exact car I wanted and for a much better price than anywhere else, but I felt completely taken care of. I couldn't believe the amount of time Perry spent with me test-driving, showing me all the features, and making me laugh the entire time. And when Perry was off, Nelson filled in brilliantly. Took my car to get it inspected for me and came with me to the car wash and actually hand dried the car for me after I had driven it (in yucky Boston snow) for a week. Truly above and beyond. Anytime that I had to wait a few moments for finance or anything else - they sat with me and entertained me, even indulging me in showing decade old pictures of my husband in a metal band. The amount of time both Perry and Nelson spent showing me and helping me with all of the car's features - eyesight, navigation, voice, radio, phone etc - was extraordinary. Perry even calls occasionally just to check-in and see if I need anything and if I still love the car. Which I do. It is my baby. They both made me feel like the most important customer in the world. I can't thank Subaru of Wakefield and especially Perry and Nelson enough. They put the sexy in Subaru. I highly recommend either of them for a great deal and a beautiful experience. More

First time car buyer I was buying my first new car. When I went to the dealership the first time I was only planning on looking. However, Nelson was so friendly and willin I was buying my first new car. When I went to the dealership the first time I was only planning on looking. However, Nelson was so friendly and willing to answer any of my questions. I decided to buy right then. They didn't have the color of the car I wanted on the lot. That was not a problem Nelson looked up the color I wanted and was able to get it to the lot in less than a month. Thank you for all your help! More

Nelson Molina has made this the best experience I've had at any car dealership. He is knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We never felt any pressure from him and he answered every question we had. Our decision to buy the 2016 Crosstrek was made much easier by Nelson's customer service. He is truly unique in this industry. I would recommend anyone go see him. Vincent Izzi (general sales manager) was also wonderful to work with. More

Bait and Switch I worked with Nelson on 2016 Legacy. He seems like a nice guy. They quoted me $24,140 for premium + eyesight package. They were $140 above my best quo I worked with Nelson on 2016 Legacy. He seems like a nice guy. They quoted me $24,140 for premium + eyesight package. They were $140 above my best quote but I decided to go with them because they had the vehicle in inventory. However at the very end, they started playing games. Nelson's boss Kenny gave me paperwork with the price of $24,999. I told him that was not the priced we agreed on. He refused to do the deal at the price quoted by them. I asked for Nelson who admitted to the original price. They were willing to "meet me half way" at $24,500. I did not feel like doing business with the man who can't honor his word (or subordinate's/business' word). I did thorough homework and had conversations about accessories, destination fees, tax/title/registration/documentation, etc. There was no misunderstanding. This happened 2 hours ago so my memory is quite fresh. If you're (still) planning to work with them, don't believe you have a deal until you **carefully** read the final paperwork. Don't be surprised if they make you wait while they are "on the phone with Japan (half-kidding)." Good luck! Priyank More
