This has been an extremely unpleasant experience. It commenced with an excessively confident salesperson who displayed disrespect by flippantly tossing their business card at me. Additionally, their It commenced with an excessively confident salesperson who displayed disrespect by flippantly tossing their business card at me. Additionally, their finance representative told us he finalized several deals that came after us because he as not aware that my partner, newborn child, and I were still present in their showroom for an unreasonably prolonged period of over five hours, waiting to finalize paperwork that could have been completed within minutes. I emphasize that the vehicle in question was a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, not a luxury Cadillac valued at $100,000. I mention this because I believe that I would have been treated differently with regards to this issue. If it had been a high-end vehicle experiencing similar problems, I am confident they would have promptly resolved them. However, my situation differs, as the car has been sent to the repair shop on three separate occasions, with each visit addressing the same issue that they previously claimed to have fixed. I expressed to the salesperson that this series of incidents was the final straw, and I insisted on receiving a replacement vehicle. Unfortunately, all of the available replacements failed to meet the specific requirements we needed for our disabled child. Alternatively, they were sourced from another dealership, and I was pressured to have my own mechanic inspect the replacement vehicle, as I no longer trusted that their mechanics were performing their duties competently. Given the severity of this situation, I anticipated that the dealership would take the necessary steps to inspect the replacement car and ensure their mechanics adhered to a certain standard. Regrettably, this was not the case. Ultimately, they informed me that legal action could be pursued, knowing that the 2016 vehicle in question no longer falls under the protection of the lemon law. Nonetheless, I promptly reported the matter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and I have the opportunity to lodge a complaint with Bergen County Consumer Affairs. Fortunately, I eagerly anticipate a resolution through these channels. I sincerely hope that by sharing my experience, I can save you valuable time in the event that you are considering purchasing a lower-value vehicle, as it is evident that the dealership does not extend the level of respect and consideration that every customer deserves.
