Scott, Zach and Smiley did go above and beyond anything I would expect to get me the perfect car. They did not have the car, found it, brought it in, certified it and delivered exactly the car I wanted, perfect. Not forgetting to mention they had by far the best offer for my trade. Note: I did visit all but 2 dealers in the valley and, again, the guys at Van Chevrolet made it happen. I truly felt they did work with me rather than tried to make a sale. I will definitely go back there again and again for future car purchases for sure! And so should you (if you like great deals, that is) More

I have had a horrific experience with them. I was recently in an accident and purchased a replacement used vehicle from Adrian Wilson at Van Chevrolet. I'll paperwork was signed, down payment was pai recently in an accident and purchased a replacement used vehicle from Adrian Wilson at Van Chevrolet. I'll paperwork was signed, down payment was paid and they cashed the check. They informed me that the vehicle still had to get inspected prior to giving it to me and would be ready within two days. I patiently waited at my own expense with a rental vehicle. They first informed me that it was going to take longer than expected and requested that I wait, which I did patiently. Then two weeks later I get a call from them stating they have to cancel the deal because it didn't pass inspection. I went to VAN Chevrolet and requested that I be refunded my down payment and they informed that my check hadn't cleared yet (which it had,7 days prior) and that they couldnt refund me my money. After numerous inquiries and finally obtaining a copy of the inspection report, it appears that a salesman/manager had taken it for a joy ride and blown the engine subsequent to me purchasing the vehicle which they were trying to cover up, then wouldn't take ownership of it. I spoke to as many managers as I could but only got mean stares and the run around. Chevrolet should be embarrassed with their dealership's conduct. By making the mistake of trusting these people, I am out 2 weeks rental of about $600, and I now have to resume my search for a vehicle and incur additional costs. More

I arrived at Vans on Sunday approx 9 am which was about a hr before they open. I was greeted by Patrick Ortiz. He and I began the usual negotiation ritual which was going well until an unknown sales manager hr before they open. I was greeted by Patrick Ortiz. He and I began the usual negotiation ritual which was going well until an unknown sales manager (not Dan who was supporting Patrick) felt he had to stick his nose in. Our discussion immediately started downhill. When I told this mgr that one of his uninformed statements was xx he told me "if you're going to swear at me get the xxxx out". It amazed me that a grown man especially a car salesman was offended by that term but I walked out. I later received a call from Patrick who was able to salvage our relationship. Long story short we were able to make a deal. Part of that deal was that our financing was to be thru a specific financial institution. We signed papers and left. Two weeks later we received paperwork from a totally different institution. When questioned ever employee involve admitted the deal was based on our chose of financing. They said that bank would not allow them to buy down the interest rate. I explained that this was their problem, not mine. After a week of leaving voicemails that were unreturned or talking to managers that "would check into it and get right back to me" with no call back I finally escalated the matter to Chuck Mullins, the General Mgr. He apologized and ultimately did get the situation worked out or so I thought. Two weeks later I received a call from the first bank saying my first payment was late. Another call and email exchange with Trena. Sent obtained a letter which basically said the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. Again we assumed everything was good. WRONG! A few days later I received the registration from DMV. Vans had neglected to transfer my personalized plate so I now had a regular plate for my new vehicle. I called and the only person I could reach was Mr Smiley who informed me "that's your problem, you need to go to Motor Vehicle and transfer it". I explained that the plate had been on three vehicle prior and each time the dealer had transferred it. Patrick had removed the plate and we had conversation about it going on the new car. I had also mentioned it to the finance mgr. I had to go into work late and go to DMV to straighten this out. Since all of this I behave received a call from Chuck Mullins who is apologetic and admits they "screwed up on multiple levels". More

April 2013 RE: VAN CHEVROLET/CHUCK MULLINS, GM, MATT April 2013 RE: VAN CHEVROLET/CHUCK MULLINS, GM, MATT CERRETA GSM, Shawn McEniry Service Writer, Derek HADDAD, Service Grunt I just don’t und April 2013 RE: VAN CHEVROLET/CHUCK MULLINS, GM, MATT CERRETA GSM, Shawn McEniry Service Writer, Derek HADDAD, Service Grunt I just don’t understand these dealers in Arizona. Especially the Vantuyl dealerships that continue to try and completely and royally screw people over in the service department. It’s just unbelievable how they snowball people and how they get away with it. This story happens to deal with Van Chevrolet and all the people mentioned above. My wife and I just bought a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. I wanted to take it to Van Chevrolet to have it inspected and then have some warranty work done. Turns out that I needed rear brake pads. Keep in mind that my relationship with Van Chevrolet didn’t start off very well about a year ago. I caught them in numerous lies when I first took one of our escalades there. They didn’t do certain work like the alignment, they didn’t change fluids like they said they did etc. I completely lost it when they didn’t do the work the first time and had another dealer catch them in the act. Van Chevrolet did correct the problems the first time though so I thought I could trust them. Well I was wrong once again. I took the vehicle to them to have the rear brake pads, alignment, and brake flush done. Keep in mind that I wanted to have OEM Cadillac Brake Pads put on as well. I even gave them the invoice from the dealer in Tempe where I wanted them to get them from. I was getting cost plus 10 percent on these pads. Instead they ended up putting the cheapest Non Ceramic pads on there. First of all they didn’t even do the alignment. The Tow adjustment was completely off. Then I took it to another dealer and they said the brake flush had not been done either. The fluid was pretty dark and it was pretty evident. Then our brake pads were squeaking every time we came to a stop. It was the worst noise I had ever heard. We have 10 cars so I know cars pretty good. I also know when something is not acting right on a car. So I decided to take it to Just Brakes in Mesa, AZ who have lifetime warranty on the PADS. I decided I was going to video Tape the whole process which I will be putting up on my UTube very shortly. I will attach a link at a later date. So when they took the brake pads off it was discovered right off that they never took the rotors off and machined the rotors. How do we know this? The factory clips had never been removed. When we did remove them there was fresh rust behind them. The video will clearly show this and the rotors never been turned. Then they took the hardware off and discovered the Guide Pin and the ears on the pads were completely DRY! This is very bad. The guide pin should have been greased a little bit along with the ends of the brake pads called the ears to Stop and prevent squeaking. Not turning the rotors is just completely lazy and a huge mistake as well. I have all of this on video. Then we took the front wheels off and it was discovered that my fronts needed to be replaced. Van Chevrolet gave me no 24 point inspection sheet to let me know this. Then we put the vehicle up on the alignment rack and it was discovered by Just Brakes in Mesa, AZ that the Tow adjustment was severely off. Van Chevrolet did not even do the alignment but gladly charged me for it. If I never would have taken my vehicle to Just Brakes for a second opinion and third opinion I would have never known. Yes people, I am telling you to start taking your car to another source just to make sure you car or truck or RV or Boat is actually getting the work done that you paid for. It has now come to this in this world. It’s sad to say but you just can’t trust VAN Chevrolet and most of these dealerships. Even if you do trust them take them to a shop like Just Brakes that will let you watch them do all the work. They will show you talk to you and let you watch them do the work. These dealers are over charging, not doing the work and laughing all the way to the bank. If this happens to you make sure you pay with your AMEX and dispute the charge or dispute it with your VISA and then complain to your State Attorney General and the BBB. Go to the news, radio and anybody else that will listen. The news gets heavily paid advertising money from these dealerships so the news and radio at least in Arizona probably won’t do anything for you. But the AG and the BBB will. Don’t let these people just walk all over you. Dispute and then take them to Small Claims court. Take your car to Just Brakes or another shop to make sure the work has been done and video tape it. I know it sounds like a lot of work but I am just warning people about the Van Chevrolets out there. Don’t trust this dealership or any VanTuyl Dealership in the Valley. They are all Crooks! Make sure you give them a BAD Survey or Review on www.dealerrater.com if they do a terrible job. They all can’t stand this. Again, I am just warning everybody in the Valley in Phoenix, AZ. VAN Chevrolet Not to be Trusted! More

My wife and I recently decided that it was the right time to look into buying a hybrid vehicle and after doing research on the cars we narrowed our choices down to three vehicles. The first of the three vehi to look into buying a hybrid vehicle and after doing research on the cars we narrowed our choices down to three vehicles. The first of the three vehicles we were going to test drive was located at Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale. Part of the research that I did was not only for the vehicle itself but the dealership as well, customer service is very big in my book and I wanted a dealership that was going to treat me as a person and not a number REGARDLESS of the outcome of the sale, during the research I noticed that a salesman by the name of Eric Francisco had an impeccable rating of 5 out of 5 stars, I had my pont of contact and I was going to make sure that he was going to be the one person that I needed to talk with to make the car buying experience as pleasant as possible for my wife and I. As we were coming all the way from Glendale I wanted to make sure that he was there as well as the vehicle in question so I called first, he was there as well as the vehicle, so off we went. After spending a little time talking to Eric and giving him the pertinent information we went out for a test drive on the vehicle and were impressed with most everything we saw with the vehicle, we finished the ride got back to the dealership and let him know that my wife and I were going to go to lunch and that I would be back to give him our answer, there was no pressure from these guys as we left, he recommended a restaurant nearby so we went and discussed the pros and cons of the vehicle and the way we were treated over some fine Italian food (which Eric actually repaid us for out of his own pocket). When all was said and done we walked away from lunch with the understanding that we liked the vehicle well enough to make an offer so we did, now comes the dreaded negotiating part that I was not looking forward to.....but the dreaded part never came. They (Eric and Smiley) actually listened to what I had to say and worked with me on a price that was fair to both party's, we were treated with "The golden rule". To make a long story short my wife and I drove away in a very nice car at a fair price, this car buying experience at Van Chevy would not have happened without Eric being the consummate professional and providing customer service to us at a level that I have personally never experienced from a car dealer....ever. We will most assuredly be letting the friends and people that we know that Eric & Smiley at Van Chevy are professionals that live out "customer service" in the car buying experience.
