I have been with Danbury Hyundai for nearly 20 years and each time I consider a different make or location I remember how well I have always been treated. I have worked in customer service for much of my career and good service is indeed hard to come by. I appreciate the personal touch I consistently receive at the dealership. Steve has been wonderful for many years and Carlos was an absolute pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond to accommodate me in this very challenging time & made this the most pleasant experience I have had to date. I thank you all! I love my new Tucson...it’s gorgeous!!! My experience working with Mike Barnett was nothing like I have ever seen and not in a positive way. My wife and I reached out to Danbury Hyundai where we purchased my new 2020 Hyundai Sonata. Due to micro I have ever seen and not in a positive way. My wife and I reached out to Danbury Hyundai where we purchased my new 2020 Hyundai Sonata. Due to micro scratches and rock chips I reached out to Shamus about a Appearance Package warranty. And having my hood repainted and Xpel PPF put on my car. Dropped off my car at Danbury Hyundai for this service to be completed. Mike was introduced to me by Shamus. Finance manager. Left my keys with Mike at the dealership. My new car had its paint removed. Then repainted. With very poor quality. Then brought to a third party. Who then delivered my car to a XPEL installer that does not work for Hyundai. The installer stated he did not want to put wrap on fresh paint. It needs to cure 30-45 days. And saw the paint had drip marks and flaws. Installer was told. Put the wrap on. It will hide imperfections. Then met me at my bank. For 3,450.00. Cash. Requested Venmo but I did not have a account. Delivered car back to me back at Danbury Hyundai. With no warranty paperwork. No invoice. And no Info. 24 hours later I see flaws on my new car. Found the installer was a non - approved vendor. Of Hyundai. Who I went to meet. Went back to Danbury Hyundai. And the dealership knew nothing about this happening. Thus why he asked for a cash deal. And was able to provide no paperwork or warranty. Finally Hyundai corporate is now involved as is Hyundai management. Having to clean up the mess made. Behind my back. I do not want to see this happen to others who may encounter this individual. As I was unlucky to have had a horrible experience. Topped off with him yelling and swearing at my wife. Classless. Others at Danbury Hyundai are how dst and want to please their customers to the best of their ability. Mike for some reason chose me to try to pocket profit and run a scam on me. in Our opinion of all that transpired. More

Lousy sales experience / worse service I bought a Hyundai Palisade from this dealer in July 2019. The salesman was poorly informed about the vehicle, kept me waiting about three hours to co I bought a Hyundai Palisade from this dealer in July 2019. The salesman was poorly informed about the vehicle, kept me waiting about three hours to complete paperwork while he juggled other sales at the same time. The Finance person screwed up the paperwork, so he had to reprint and I had to re-sign everything. But then I wasn't happy with the way the front collision avoidance was working. The Service Dept told me to bring the car in and the salesman would show me how it was supposed to work. He couldn't, of course, and then a service rep refused to look at it and accused me of lying about having been told to bring it in. Finally they were supposed to refund me the overage between what I gave them to register the car and what it actually cost. But the person they had register it didn't take the trade into account and so NYS charged sales tax on $11,000 ($811) that was no due. When I called to find out why I had no refund, I was told that not only was there no refund, but that I owed them several hundred dollars more to cover the sales tax. I verified with NYS DMV that the mistake I described had actually been made. But the dealer wanted no part in fixing it, and I could not since DMV would only refund to the person who had paid the sales tax. Unresolved nine months later; the salesman says it's not their responsibility to fix. Letters to the Sales Manager went unacknowledged and unanswered. The entire showroom is festooned with congratulations to the dealership on meeting or exceeding sales objectives. nowhere are there congratulations for satisfied customers. Tells a story. Mentioning this to an acquaintance he told his own tale of poor treatment at that dealership. If you want a Hyundai, buy elsewhere. PS: I "fixed" the front collision avoidance on my own by removing the OEM front license plate holder, buying an aftermarket one, and mounting it higher. Apparently the original holder was blocking an angle of view from the front sensor. More
