On November 10, 2012 we purchased a 2008 Grand Prix GXP from Hawking Chevrolet in Fairmont, MN. Troy Sunken was great to work with, he made sure the car was washed and ready to go even before we arrived at from Hawking Chevrolet in Fairmont, MN. Troy sat us down to go over the cars history and the repairs that they recently had done. We left for a few hours to crunch some numbers and returned with a vehicle for a possible trade in. They were closing at 4:00 pm that day but Troy, Steve, and Tabitha stayed until we arrived back at the dealership. Steve checked out our possible trade in and we began crunching numbers again. Tabitha left for a short time but came back to the office to draw the paperwork up for us. Soon after we purchased our car we were driving home on I-90 and yes, we hit a deer. Just our luck, we buy a new car and wrecked it all within 30 minutes from leaving the dealership. Big Richards tow service came out to tow the car to Don’s Repair in Fairmont and was able to get ahold of Tom Hawkins who generously offered us a courtesy car, so that we could get home until we figured the details out on our newly wrecked car. Troy came back to the dealership to give us the keys to the courtesy car and even called on that Monday to see how things were going. When we are in the market for a new/used vehicle we will definitely being going back to Hawkins Chevrolet, in Fairmont because they truly do go the extra mile and we are truly Grateful for all their Generosity in helping us through our recent purchase and accident :) More

I was very impressed with Troy as an auto dealer. He greeted us in the car lot, was very friendly and helpful but not pushy. Earlier in the day I went to a dealer that just didn't seem interested in selling me a car so I left without even test driving anything. Troy seemed interested in what I was looking for and what I didn't want in a new car. We test drove only one car. I then said I was going to Mankato to look. He said he would offer me a great deal and keeping business local made owning a car and getting it serviced a lot more convenient. I spent the rest of the day test driving in Mankato. What a let down. The salesmen/women were pushy and even if I said I didn't like a certain car, they still tried to push it on me. In the end, I came back to Hawkins and bought the car I had test drove earlier in the week. The price was good and by going online to their site, I was able to download and print a $200 coupon to be used for the purchase of my car. More

We were happy with the price we got for our 2009 trade-in and VERY happy with the price we paid for our new 2012 Suburban.
