This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette presents itself in its original color combination, Sebring Silver Metallic exterior paint over dark blue interior with white vinyl soft with and coordinating factory hard top. It is powered by its 327 CID / 250 HP V8, 4 speed Muncie manual transmission and rear wheel drive. Some vehicle highlights include AM/FM Delco radio, bucket seats, classic 3 spoke teak steering wheel, 160 MPH speedometer, 7000 RPM tach, knock off turbine style aluminum wheels, white wall tires, clock etc. The car was purchased new at Twin City Chevrolet of Benton Harbor, MI and accompanied written history indicates 5 owners from new, 25 years under its current ownership. Today, the car has undergone a selective style, older restoration retaining its original color combination with efforts of keeping the car correct and stock. This Corvette overall presents very well and attractive in all areas, it appears that the Corvette was selectivly restored back in the late 80's / early 90's and has been cared for since. The refurbishment has held up well with proper patina setting in evenly across the car. The paint remains deep and glossy with a few expected minor flaws, the hard top does have a few nicks here and there as one would expect, the headliner appears to be original. The interior bright work, console, dash fascia and gauges appear to be original, the steering wheel is wonderful, and the carpet and upholstery are clean and free from major wear and tear. Under the hood all components appear correct from the 327 V8, heads, manifolds, aluminum valve covers to the dual snorkel air cleaner, ignition shielding, aluminum expansion tank, clamps and hardware. The underside of the car is clean, highly original and shows very well. 1963 was a major design change for the Corvette, not only in style, but also in performance. The long tapered hood with the hid-a-way headlights became a signature mark of the corvette that stuck with the car for generations. 1963 was the first year of the Mid-Year Corvette which remains among the most sought after cars on the planet. The car here is a wonderful example that has recorded history since new, has always been intact and properly looked after. Sebring Silver over Dark Blue is a great color combination for this car and is one that you do not see often on a roadster. Midyear Corvettes are timeless and will always be a blue chip automotive investment. This car is worthy of serious consideration.
