It took 10 days to get an appointment. The car's check engine light was not what came on as stated on our receipt. It was the service engine light,. The car sounds rough when it's started The car's check engine light was not what came on as stated on our receipt. It was the service engine light,. The car sounds rough when it's started up, cold, but layer seems to be ok during the day. Our car was kept an extra day when we were still waiting for a diagnosis. We finally called at the end of the day only to find out nothing was done all day because the person working on it did not show up to work that day. Wecasked to be notified by noon the next day and we did get a call by 11:3], but diagnosis still not 100% confirmed. We were told they would replace all the spark plugs, but really surprised to change them in the car at this time. So, we picked up the car knowing the problem really wasn't solved. We spent $456.00 and as of today 9-24-25, the car still started rough first time today and now the service engine light is back on! We don't feel confident taking it back to Marin County Ford! We are stressed about it and we have been taking our car there for 6 years and have spent lots of $$$$. More
I had an appt at 8:30am and waited around for over an hour before I was helped. I have the Mach-E and had, what I concluded, was a bad charging cable. They had my car all day and when I arrived to pick hour before I was helped. I have the Mach-E and had, what I concluded, was a bad charging cable. They had my car all day and when I arrived to pickup the car, they still didn't definitively conclude a bad cable. My wife has a plug in hybrid and I tested her charging cable on my car and it worked. This was one easy step to conclude my cable was bad. I just don't know how they could have the car the entire day and not be able to determine a bad cable. Each visit, I found that I ended up just waiting around for too long and didn't feel taken care of. To top it off, this cable went bad early in the third year...of course, the cable is under warranty for only two years so I had to pony up $700 for a new cable. More
