I had a truck I was looking to purchase from Autonation dropped off at Tom Clark GMC for a pre owned inspection, as well as an appointment set up with their body/collision shop. I am an out of state buyer dropped off at Tom Clark GMC for a pre owned inspection, as well as an appointment set up with their body/collision shop. I am an out of state buyer so I wanted to make sure the truck was purchase worthy. So I set up appointments with them, had Autonation drop the truck off to be inspected by both departments in one day. Just to find out the “communication” between the two departments failed miserably! Even with me calling in numerous times, at least ten times throughout the day to make sure everything was on track and not relying on them to notify each other for when the truck was done in one dept and ready for the next. It took the service advisor 24 hrs to send me a simple inspection report via email. The assistant’s answering the phone lines were only capable of transferring calls to extensions or other depts, which trying to actually talk to an advisor was nearly impossible. So when I asked if someone, xxxx anyone could literally walk over and see if my truck was still on the frame rack. I was transferred to the sales dept. All in all my experience with them was horrible! It would definitely help to add texting for communication in the future. Most hard working people don’t have time away from work to be constantly calling a dealership numerous times a day to see if things are getting done like I was promised. More
