Back in November, my family and I were on the road coming back to Georgia for Louisville KY and the passenger side tire blew out. So I attempted to change the tire by putting on the spare that was provided. I lowered the spare latch by using the equipment provided. I removed the spare from the compartment, and replaced the blowout. Then I raised the wire so that it wouldn't drag along on the road. The next day I took the KIA to a Firestone in Kentucky to replace the blowout, so that I could get back on the road and get home safely. The tire latch would not lower. It was stuck. This was literally the first time the tire was ever used. The vehicle is a 2019 and has 34,000 miles on it. I figured it would be under warranty. I scheduled to bring the vehicle in on Jan 19th, thinking that this problem would be rectified. Howev, I was told by the service department that somehow, it was my fault (that I turned it the wrong way) and that I would have to pay $350.00 to get it replaced. There's only two ways to turn it. Clockwise and counterclockwise. If I use a device for the very first time and doesn't do what it's literally designed to do then it's defective. And it should be replaced by the manufacturer. Period. I was very dissatisfied with the fact that I was being blamed for a part that malfunctioned the very first time it was used. Not being able to properly store the spare is not only an inconvenience, it's also a safety hazard. On top of that, I waited for two hours just to NOT receive proper costumer service. More

I've been taking my car to Kia of Union City since the day I purchased it. The staff has always been pleasurable and helpful. My December visit was the most challenging in 9 years. I went in for what was day I purchased it. The staff has always been pleasurable and helpful. My December visit was the most challenging in 9 years. I went in for what was supposed to have been an approximately 2-hour service, but eventually spending 7 hours there! Karissa Hobbs helped me remain calm during the wait by offering her selfless service and keeping me updated on every change and need. Thank you, Karissa! Hope to see you at my next visit. More
