Went to check up on the car and they decided to fix a recall on the car which i was never informed and then was told it would be about 3 more hours. Was late to my daughtera volleyball game when i could of just been there had they communicated the extra time whenever they decided they were going to fix the recall service. More
For purchasing a car from out of state, this a Great place to purchase a vehicle. Our salesman was very professional, knowledgeable and honest. Shayne was very easy to work with and the dealership as a whole made the process of purchasing our new Acura MDX smooth and peaceful. They always take good care of my car. Also are willing to give me a loaner if one is available. Also are willing to give me a loaner if one is available. More
Acura of Wichita showed a complete lack of respect for my time, employment, and concerns about my brand-new Acura. I live in Stillwater, approximately 2.5 hours away each way—a five-hour round trip. I con time, employment, and concerns about my brand-new Acura. I live in Stillwater, approximately 2.5 hours away each way—a five-hour round trip. I contacted the dealership about a check-engine light and specifically explained that the car was also intermittently failing to start after refueling. They told me to bring it in and assured me that a loaner vehicle would be available. I relied on that assurance, took time off from work without pay, and drove 2.5 hours to Wichita. After I arrived, they said the previous customer had not returned the loaner and that they had nothing available. They diagnosed the vehicle as needing a purge-valve replacement, but despite knowing that the car had already failed to start after refueling, they told me to take it home and return the following day. They said they would order the part and repair the vehicle the same day. The following morning, nobody contacted me. After repeatedly calling, I finally reached someone around 11:00 a.m. I was initially told that the part appeared to have arrived and that I could bring the vehicle in. I confirmed that I would make the trip. Shortly afterward, they reversed themselves and told me not to come because they did not have time to perform the repair and would schedule it later. Had I not called to verify, I could have started another five-hour round trip based on their instructions, only to be turned away again. Nobody proactively warned me that the repair could not be completed. I had to chase the service department for every update. When I asked whether I could drop the vehicle off and receive a loaner, I was again told no, apparently at the service manager’s direction. Loaner availability can change. What is unacceptable is repeatedly directing a customer who lives 2.5 hours away to travel without first confirming the loaner, replacement part, and technician availability. Their poor communication cost me unpaid work time, approximately five hours of driving, fuel, and an entire day—while leaving me with the same defective vehicle and no confirmed repair solution. This is a brand-new Acura with a check-engine light and an intermittent no-start condition. Based on this experience, I no longer trust Acura of Wichita’s service department and will not return. I am escalating the matter directly to Acura Client Relations and having the vehicle repaired elsewhere. More
