Advantage Hyundai

I visited Advantage Hyundai in Hicksville, NY on 9/14/12 to check terms on a 2112 Genesis 3.6 Sedan. I had been to another dealer that morning and was drawn to compare that dealer with Advantage since it wa to check terms on a 2112 Genesis 3.6 Sedan. I had been to another dealer that morning and was drawn to compare that dealer with Advantage since it was in much closer proximity to my home and their website indicated they had the car I was interested in with the proper color and equipment upgrades. I was introduced to Kevin Murphy and explained that I was basically "sold" on the car, but needed a better idea of pricing as I had a trade-in. Kevin was very professional and patient with me as we thrashed out the framework for a potential deal. In relatively short order we had agreed on terms and I was a bit surprised when he told me that I could take delivery the following morning, surprised due to the fact that it was already 5 P.M. or so. Kevin contacted my insurer for purposes of providing details of the new vehicle, I signed for the deal and went home for the evening. Around 7 P.M. I had another conversation with Kevin in which he indicated that there was a minor issue involved with the vehicle I agreed to and that he was replacing it with an essentially indentical (except for an I-Pod connector) Genesis. The next morning finalized the documentation with Bobby Torres and then Kevin ran me through some of the features of the car, set up the pairing of my smart phone with the vehicle bluetooth system and i went on my way, feeling comfortable about the deal, the dealership, the car and Mr. Murphy. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family. More

I had had my fiancee's Sonata serviced here, and had a very pleasant experience so I decided to stop in to Advantage when I was ready to replace my Volkswagen. I leased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata a couple of days ago and couldn't have been happier with the experience. I was offered top dollar for my trade and the Steve worked with me to find the best fit Sonata for me. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. Bobby in the Finance Department was great and didn't attempt to pressure me into buying things I didn't need. I've had bad experiences with that last part before, having them try to get me to buy everything under the sun. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the process was from start to finish. I will definitely be returning to Advantage for service and to replace my car when the lease is up. More

Been with Hyundai since 2004. Fri. evening 8/3/12, wife and i decided to go to Advantage to Trade our 2008 Santa Fe for a 2012 Santa fe. After 2 hours we hashed out a deal with Cathy. Just want to point ou and i decided to go to Advantage to Trade our 2008 Santa Fe for a 2012 Santa fe. After 2 hours we hashed out a deal with Cathy. Just want to point out, Cathy was very nice. We know Cathy for many years. However, when Matthew Nam got invoved, thats when the deal went bad. Our 2008 Santa Fe is mint condition, with 18500 miles. They located a 2012 Santa Fe with all the bells and whisles, at another location. The deal was great, with the trade, finance discount, cash back, and military .So, the wife left a 100 dollar deposit. To good to be true. Matthew wuold call us Sat. to let us know. No call, hung around the house all day, called the dealership, no call back or response. Always busy. So, we went and asked Matthew why didn't he call us. He said he was to busy. He was standing behind that desk doing nothing, you couldn't call. We waited all day. He just laughed. I said its funny to you? Now cancel the deal, and i want my deposit back. He said fine, we will send you a check in the mail. Oh,by the way,the Hyundai was sold to someone else. How do you do that after you make a deal and get a deposit from us. I guess he broke the deal ,bacause of the money without informing us. Very sneaky and deceptive. Don't walk, run from Advantage Hyundai. Go to another dealer. I will never purchase a vehicle their again. If it wasen't for my wife, i would have lost it. Now i will not purchase Hyundai's any more at Advantage beacause of Mr. Nam. Very icompetant Mgr. Overall, we had a great experience at Advantage. My father had went earlier in the week to browse and test drove a Sonata. Few days later I came in with him again and they greeted him very nicely. I went in to Advantage Hyundai and I was immediately greeted by Mike as I walked in. I had tried to trade in my personal car 3 seperate times but was offered basically nothing for my trade as I was dyi greeted by Mike as I walked in. I had tried to trade in my personal car 3 seperate times but was offered basically nothing for my trade as I was dying to get out of the car into a used Sonata. Mike was actually able to show me the car I saw online to look for but actually showed me a Sonata turbo with much less miles and was less then the original Sonata. From the second I walked in and left I felt like I always taken care of, I was able to negotiate to what worked for me and was able to get out of my loan into a practically brand new Sonata. I had previously went to a different Hyundai dealership( to be nameless) and the sales manager told me I had only one real option and that somebody else was looking at that same car so If i wanted to do that, I would have to buy it right then and there. Buying a car, should be done on the customeer's time, not the dealership's time. If you need to get a new car, see Mike, he will take care of you I hope I do not need to buy a new Sonata but If I do need to buy another, I will drive 35 minutes again to go to Advantage. More

I went in looking for a used car and to my surprise I found a decent priced hyundai. Brandon helped me but was way too pushy. Not only was he pushy he was rude. He kept telling me someone else is looking to drive it off the lot but actually when I came back 3 days later the car was STILL there. He negotiated nothing with me and two weeks later I pulled the deposit from the car. My mother has had a bad experience there as well. I DO NOT recommend Advantage Hyundai. If you're looking for a good hyundai dealership try Millennium hyundai just 20 minutes away from Advantage in Hempstead. More

Whether it was helping us setup a last minute service appointment (and providing us with a loaner) to just random questions about the car in general Steve Toomey was always there for us. This is the second car we bought from these folks. After the first experience we had I knew as soon as I decided to replace my old car I would call Advantage. My original sales associate was in teh new section so he introduced me to his friend in pre owned. Steve and Dave, teh manager couldn't have been more helpful. Theuy worked to get me teh car that I eeded that fit my budget and extended every courtesy. When it came time to talk to the Finance Manager it was like being with an old friend. Bobby took care of us ( and I mean he took care of us like family) the first time we leased our new car and again this time. It was the like visiting a friend. We chatted, he made the procedure painless and he looked out for our needs. There was a minor blemish on the Used car we bought - I wouldn't have said a thing but when my wife pointed it out they offered to have teh dent removed and the entire section repainted- way beyond what 'needed' to be done. The day after I got the car home I got the call for the paint appointment I've been in retail for 45 years and as far as customer service this dealership has it all over the competition. I plan on continuing to recomend Advantage and I will be back when I need another vehicle More
