My family and I have worked with Kevin Coffman for years on our vehicles, and my experience this past weekend was a great example why. Found 2 vehicles in his inventory Sat afternoon that I was interested i on our vehicles, and my experience this past weekend was a great example why. Found 2 vehicles in his inventory Sat afternoon that I was interested in. Immediately gave him a call, and he called me back within 10 min to give me the details. I went out to meet him at Airport Honda to look at them both; one was at the lot there, the other at one of their dealerships in Knoxville. While I was test driving the one there, Kevin drove out to the Knoxville dealership to pick up the other car because he knew I'd want to compare both. At this point, we're already getting close to their closing (on Saturday...the day before Easter). When I made my decision on the one I wanted, we started the final paperwork process, and he gave me a very fair trade-in offer on my current vehicle. I had also sent detailed pictures of my car to one of the original manufacturer's dealerships in Knoxville (a very reputable one, supposedly) to evaluate for a straight cash offer. The offer they gave was better than Kevin's trade offer, and I even double-checked with the person over-the-phone (Kevin listening on speaker) to be sure it was a legit offer with no "bait and switch" contingencies. He assured it was, and Kevin even agreed based on the conversation that it sounded legit and was a good offer. So I went ahead and passed on the trade and agreed to the original discussed price with the intention of selling my current vehicle for the cash offer. Well, you may guess how the rest of the story goes. I go to take my car to the "buying" dealership, and after an EXTREMELY frustrating conversation, found out it was not a genuine offer. Needless to say, I was furious, and I then called Kevin to tell him what happened. He was just as surprised after hearing and validating the conversation I had with that person over the phone. I asked Kevin if there was any way he would still honor the original trade offer, and he graciously did. This is why Kevin sets himself apart in an industry that has been extremely tarnished by some salespeople that don't do it the right way. Kevin is the ultimate sales professional and shows an elite level of customer service. Knowledgeable, goes above and beyond, LISTENS to what I'M needing/looking for, and doesn't try to push his own agenda. Thank you again Kevin for helping me with another car purchase.
