I walked in with 3 vehicles in mind that I had seen online. I had reached out asking for the actual "off the lot" case prices for each vehicle, to see if they would fall within my budgeted amount, befo online. I had reached out asking for the actual "off the lot" case prices for each vehicle, to see if they would fall within my budgeted amount, before driving from West Palm Beach down to Coconut Creek. Fedora kindly sent me proposals for each of the 3 vehicles, with that information. When we arrived, David ended up being our sales rep. David was friendly, but either was not understanding what I was asking for as far as comparisons of options between the vehicles before narrowing it down to getting keys to 2 of them (something the dealership sets as a limit - you can only look at 2 at once). We picked out 2, and he went to get the keys. He returned and told us one of the cars was not able to be found. It was not marked as being sold - so should be there, they could not find it. Of course, it was the one of the 3 that I was most interested in. David went off to get the other 2 cars and next thing we see he is pulling up in the "missing" car. While looking over I noticed a crack in the windshield, which must have just happened, since they cannot sell cars like that and would not usually show them. But he assured me it would be repaired before I could take the car home, if I decided to buy it. We took it for a test drive and I decided it was the car I wanted. Then came the fun of the paperwork and the finance end of things. Since I was paying cash in full, the finance part was supposed to be very easy. They were busy that day and I had to wait for someone to free up in finance, but it should not take long. David kept checking on me as I waited. It was over an hour before someone finally came to get me and take me to finance. Lorence greeted me and was very friendly and professional. It was easy at that point, since no financing was needed. The only blip was that my bank would not allow the transaction to go thru for the entire amount. Since I was not taking the car home, due to the windshield needing to be repaired, we did a down payment of a smaller amount and I will take a cashier check in for balance when I pick up the car. Easy resolution. Other than the wait to get with the finance person, the experience was fine. I look forward to getting my car this coming weekend and enjoying it for many years. It is my retirement gift to myself! More
