Not a great experience I came to Subaru of Wakefield with the intention of purchasing a new Impreza. I knew how much I wanted to pay and went for a test drive. I told the sa I came to Subaru of Wakefield with the intention of purchasing a new Impreza. I knew how much I wanted to pay and went for a test drive. I told the salesperson what I wanted to pay and she said she had to speak to her manager. She asked me for a credit card, saying it was standard practice and was proof "I was serious about my offer." A few minutes later, she came back with a contract, my credit card and a receipt - before I even signed the contract, they had CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD for the deposit WITHOUT my authorization. I had serious issues with this, because not only did I not sign the contract, we hadn't agreed to the financing terms yet. Another salesperson came to speak to me, giving me a high-pressure sales pitch trying to get me to sign the contract since I had already put down the deposit. After sitting in their showroom for three hours going back & forth on terms and ready to walk out, they were suddenly able to offer me what I had wanted - both the price and the financing. At this point, I was so disgusted by the entire experience that I left, went to Cityside Subaru and bought the same car the next day. It took four days for the money to return to my credit card. More
