Sami went way beyond to get me the price and finance package that I was looking for. There were no hidden fees or haggles when it was time to close. Everything closed on the sale like we originally agreed when first discussing the purchase. I highly recommend checking out Alexandria Volkswagen if you are in the market for a new or used car... especially the Altas, which is a great all-around family car More

Sami was excellent! I have been shopping for an E-Golf to replace my Chevy Volt and I found a great deal for one here. My first two cars were both Passats, after owning a Honda and a Chevy I am very happy to replace my Chevy Volt and I found a great deal for one here. My first two cars were both Passats, after owning a Honda and a Chevy I am very happy to be back in a Volkswagen. I got a great deal on the car and Sami worked quickly to correct a small concern that I had after I got the car home, excellent salesperson and excellent car! Overall, I had a great experience at Alexandria Volkswagen. Sami was my salesperson and he was great, but everyone else I came in contact with was equally pleasant. This was by far the best car buying experience I've had, and so far the E-Golf is turning out to be my favorite car out of the ones I've owned. I should have never strayed from VW! More

Click-Bait Dealership LESSON - This organization values profit (absurd profit) above the customer. I had been in the market for about 6 months, searching all over the Ea LESSON - This organization values profit (absurd profit) above the customer. I had been in the market for about 6 months, searching all over the East Coast for the right TDI. On a trip to Alexandria, I checked all the local dealers for what they had to offer. I found the selection, quality, and (LIST) price of cars at Alexandria VW to be enticing (the only reason for two stars), enough so that I wanted to do a site visit. Upon visiting the dealership, I was greeted and immediately escorted to a salesman. We got right down to business. I explained my situation (granted, the salesman never asked qualifying questions). After finding the stock numbers I was there to see, I began asking questions to the salesman. When I asked about dealer fees, and other associated costs, the salesman informed me that "ALL" TDIs at Alexandria were CPOd, and they incurred an additional, not previously disclosed, $1500 fee. When I objected, the salesman (without trying to build the value of the additional CPO fee) verbally reduced the fee to $700. By this time, I felt that my expectations of "fair" were being exploited. I kindly thanked the salesman for his time and left. Over the next few days, I was reviewing vehicles on a program. I came across a certificate that displayed all sales "CPO fees" from Alexandria were included the program savings. After calling a few other VW dealers in the area, and confirming that CPO fees were included in the LIST price, I called Alexandria to validate (as I was still interested in a number of their vehicles). The salesman on the phone informed me that the program was incorrect, and that dealers could charge for CPO. While understanding his stance, I asked him if he was aware that they were the only VW dealer in the general area that added a CPO fee in addition to LIST price, making their OTD prices unreasonable in comparison. He was aware, and informed me that I probably shouldn't buy from them and find the best deal at another dealer. I thanked the salesman for not continuing to waste my time and told him I Alexandria VW would not earn my business. As I was finalizing my purchase the next day at another local VW dealer, another customer informed me that he had run into the EXACT issue. He was a cash buyer and taken aback at the additional CPO fee. He also stated that he was informed there would be additional fees unless he had financed through that dealer. After this customer shared his experience, I knew I had made the best judgment call. I would not recommend this dealer as the two representatives I dealt with provided a poor image of what a professional salesperson "should" be and because the company policies of forcing additional profit for comparable services are misleading.
