Just don't care about customers unless they pay. I came in on April 20th with a letter describing the issue my car was having. It took a bit to locate the special service in the system they said I w I came in on April 20th with a letter describing the issue my car was having. It took a bit to locate the special service in the system they said I was covered just make an appointment. Three employees said I was good, the front tech even checked with a person in the back to verify. The person said "we cant find the recall letter, but since you have the letter and the issue you described we will help you out". Another employee actually found the special issue in the system and said "you are covered just make the appt" then went into detail on my recall. I asked if they wanted to diagnose my car while i was there and the check engine light was on they said "no, we will check it on your appt date". I arrived on time for my appt on April 25 at 9am they said it would take a few hours. A day and a half later I received no calls, but I called 8 times with nobody returning my call even when I talked to the GM, who sounded as if I was inconveniencing him, and still did not receive a call back. The second time I called,on April 26, I was talking to the front tech on the phone and the service tech over heard the conversation and then talked to me about my car and notified me that there is something wrong with my throttle body and it is not covered under the special warranty. I was told it was caused by water intrusion into an electrical panel. The leak was in my windshield, and if they replaced the part then they would not get paid the $1200 for doing the work. I then spoke to the service manager and he explained the same thing. I felt as if the service department did not want to do the work and blew me off for a day and a half until they found a reason to NOT do the special recall. I did not pay a diagnostic fee because they said it was not a full check, but a partial check. A day and a half for a partial check and a reason why not to do a service they may not get paid for. So now I am stuck just waiting until the issue presents itself again and hoping I'm not on the highway or going at a high speed when it occurs. GREAT service for a customers safety and who currently own 2 Chevy vehicles. I also owned a Monte Carlo that I traded for the impala I am having the problem with. Maybe it's time to go back to import. More
