I went ahead and called the dealership to inquire about a specific vehicle I was interested in as well as shipping costs to potentially transport the vehicle to my location. Long story short, I spoke to the sales manager (Brian Benoit) and informed him that I was ready to purchase and that I was looking for a monthly payment between $700-800/mo. He informed me several times that these numbers are impossible to get to, and when I asked why and attempted to give him more information (credit info, my upper and lower limits, etc.) he developed a hostile tone and started elevating his voice in what seemed like an attempt to intimidate me out of going forward with a purchase or something? I don’t know. This was weird. Upon inquiring about vehicle MSRP, the SALES MANAGER told me he “didn’t know” and then I asked why he didn’t know (after all, he is the sales manager) and then stated to me that “it doesn’t matter what the MSRP is” and that it “wouldn’t change anything anyway”. And finally, “This vehicle will stay on my lot for a year or as long as it takes to sell it at this price” Listen, when I call a sales manager as an interested customer, and they cannot provide basic knowledge (MSRP) for a specific vehicle, and then become hostile and accuse you of questioning their job or what they know (which I assume this individual felt due to the elevated verbal and emotional response that I was met with, aka raising his voice loud enough to where I could hear the echo of his voice in his office from my end of the phone) Take your business elsewhere. No one is interested in getting you into a vehicle these days, they are simply interested in preying on customers in a market in which YOU have to go to them and essentially beg the dealership to work with you and put you in a vehicle. I do kind of miss the old days where someone actually wanted to sell you something, where customer service was important. Update: as of writing this, I received an email from the sales manager about another vehicle that they think I would be interested in. This email had a completely different tone, and it appears as though now they would like to actually help get me into a vehicle. Yeah right. The last thing I want to do is do business with this organization after essentially being harassed about basic questions that I had, and expressing how I would like my car-buying experience to move forward. 1-star Edit: upon examining multiple reviews from this dealership, I have seen and reported several “5-star” reviews from employees/relatives/family members of employees/etc. I reported these reviews for conflict of interest reasons, as these reviews to do not provide an accurate and fair depiction of your customer service experience at this dealership (IMO, obviously) More

I went in during the Fall and put money down on a brand new Subaru Crosstrek that was listed on Anchor Subaru's website, but wasn't on the lot just yet. Five weeks later, the car was still nowhere to be seen, with no communication from the dealership, and no estimated date of delivery. I was repeatedly told that the car was just an hour away at the port in RI, but yet the car couldn't be picked up, and they now had no estimated arrival date. These deceptive sales practices are completely unacceptable and were not what I experienced when I took my business to Patriot Subaru in North Attleboro, MA. I can't recommend this dealership after the shenanigans they pulled to try to make a sale. Go elsewhere, you'll be happy you did. More

Purchased a 1 year old used car from them in November, 2021. Drove the car home. That week, with the engine cold, I check the engine fluids. The coolant overflow tank was empty. Anchor says it’s ok, the owners manual tells a different story, so I purchased coolant and filled it to the proper level. A few days later, I examine the undercarriage, and I find severe scraping damage to the front bumper, and the engine splash shield. I bought and replaced the shield myself. Touched up the undercarriage metal parts that were missing paint. I also bought a paint repair kit to repair the bumper. I will do that when the weather is right. If you buy a used car from them, have a mechanic check it first, no matter the age or miles on the vehicle. More

Always had a Toyota, and when mine was near death I tried a few different Toyota dealers and just got a bad experience. We were on our way home when my wife told me let's stop at Anchor. We were looking for a small pickup, but our SUV can do anything we need now and is so much better on gas. We even got a lifetime power train warranty at no charge. Thanks to you all! More
