I’m not really sure where to even start with this dealership. There’s some seriously questionable ethics and lack of knowledge here. If you are forced to go here (due to lack of dealers in the area) dealership. There’s some seriously questionable ethics and lack of knowledge here. If you are forced to go here (due to lack of dealers in the area) be very aware and watch them closely - ask for all paperwork before and after transaction to make sure work charged was actually work completed. I brought my diesel in for a def issue - originally it was diagnosed as the filter needed changed. I was told to come back the next day around 10am and it should be completed. I arrived at 10am and waited over 2 hours before asking for clarification in which I was told they now had to replace the PM sensor, NOx sensor, and SCR. Because the vehicle was already near limp mode (limited speed after a certain amount of miles) I wasn’t able to get a second opinion and authorized the work. The communication during this repair was absolutely awful. The service advisor failed to update me costing me two extra days at a hotel and in a car rental (my vehicle is a conversion van which I was using to travel through Alaska). I had to drive an hour to Anchorage just to get a status update from the service manager. Then the finger pointing started the technician was blaming the service advisor and the service advisor was blaming the technician. I dealt with the service manager and was able to get an estimated date - which would be two additional days. After the repair the vehicle needed to come back multiple times for the same repair they kept saying the parts were failing (according to the technician this is normal). I tried to get them to at least check for other errors that could be causing the failure as I was being told by other certified dealers out of state that this was unlikely. On my second visit David the technician told me the dealership never replaced the PM sensor and that he would replace it after hours. I found that concerning being as I paid for a PM sensor in the original repair. I had no choice but to again approve this repair as the vehicle was nearing limp mode. The service manager Todd claims it was done on the original repair so there’s a huge discrepancy there. On my third visit to the dealership for the same thing I was told by the service manager that a different technician had fixed the issue. This Technician said I would have enough def to get home (over 4500 miles) and not to add any def to the tank until I made it back to my state. I was advised by other certified techs, again out of state, not to do that as it would drain my tank causing a bigger issue. I felt as if the dealership just wanted me out of their hair and lacked the knowledge to fix the issue. I accepted the repair knowing I would need to take it to a different dealer outside of Alaska, concerning being as I paid over 5k for this repair. The vehicle did not make it home without a def refillI and eventually the vehicle threw the same code. I’m being told by other certified dealers that the repair done at Anchorage Dodge was done incorrectly not just once but 3 times and possibly not even the issue for the code in the first place. The technicians at this dealership have an extreme lack of knowledge and questionable ethics, therefore; I cannot give them a positive review and would advise avoiding them at all costs. More
