Terrible Experience Initially, I was excited to work with Arapahoe Hyundai. All of their reviews made me feel safe about buying a car from them. I bought a used, 2008 Initially, I was excited to work with Arapahoe Hyundai. All of their reviews made me feel safe about buying a car from them. I bought a used, 2008 Hyundai Sonata for my son. We test drove it and saw the car facts - everything looked great. About 2 days after getting the car, my son noticed the transmission was slipping if he drove it too long. Then the engine started overheating. I reached out to our sales rep, Brock. He said he would get us an appointment with the service dept. I understand this is not his area and when I spoke with him, he was great. I never heard much more from him. Email is my easiest form of communication during the workday, so I emailed his boss and another random person that had reached out to me asking me how my experience was. I let all of them know the issues we were having. Nobody seemed to want to work with us. I got on their online chat, and they said they would have their service director reach out to me which he did. My son also called and talked to the service director who told him to bring the car in that afternoon. Then, they texted him and said they were too busy and to bring it in the next day (which is now today). Today, they texted and said to bring it in Monday... This whole experience has been terrible! I tend to judge a company based on how they deal with tough situations. It’s easy to get good reviews when things go well. But when things aren’t going well... and this is how they deal with me, it tells me everything I need to know about what type of business they are. I will never go back here or refer anyone here again. I have reached out to a local transmission shop to take a look at the car. They understood the urgency and got me in to take a look at it the same day. This is the difference between a company that wants to help you and a company that just wants to make money. More
They hid money within the deal they said they were getting me. I ended up about 2k higher in the list price than what they said they were giving off of it.
