A great ending to a stressful day. After visiting every car company in the area, our last stop was Hyundai. We were tired and ready to be done. My new car My used car was in great condition and the dealer compromised on the price to make us happy. Overall our experience was good, but there are a couple My used car was in great condition and the dealer compromised on the price to make us happy. Overall our experience was good, but there are a couple things I didn't particularly care for. Con: it took 3 hours to purchase a car with a check Con: if you are using a check to buy a car, they will not release the car until either the check clears or you provide you social security number Con: there is a form the dealer wants you to fill out that has your social security number. The dealer says they do this to ensure you are not a terrorist. The form quotes the requirement coming from the US Patriot Act. If you look, it is not required by any law. I also bought a significantly more expensive car 10 months ago and this was NOT a requirement. Con: if you are buying used, make sure they get your mileage correct. Mine was wrong by several thousand miles. I had to go back the next day to fix it. More
