Our first experience with Arapahoe Hyundai was about 4 years ago. My wife went in alone to buy a used car. This could have been a horrible situation for her but it was exactly the opposite. They treated her with courtesy and respect and did not try to take advantage of her. She came home with a car that day. Fast forward to 5/20/2017. We had leased a car from Planet Hyundai a few months ago that replaced her old Hyundai. While we got the deal we went for (mostly), it was the typical car buying experience. Not good. We liked her new car so much, I decided to get to get one and grudgingly went back to Planet as we thought they had the best deal. They basically refused to honor their own advertised deal. ????? End of the line for Planet Hyundai. Remembering my wife's experience with Arapahoe Hyundai, I thought they might be able to help. The deal was fantastic (Zero Down, 150 per mo lease 36 months, 12k miles on a Hyundai Elantra SE Demo/program vehicle) so I reached out to Arapahoe Hyundai on the off chance they might do something similar. John Francis O'Hanlon, the internet sales manager, got back in touch almost immediately and said they would honor this deal. Really???? Intrigued, we went in to see them on the 20th. John met us that morning and put us in touch with a great sales person Bernard Brake. We told Bernard we were there for the specific deal and nothing BUT that deal fully expecting to be pushed to do something more expensive. He again stressed we could have the deal, all I needed to do was pick out my car. I didn't think he understood. The deal was for a program or demo car. I was sure they only had one or two to choose from. He said he would honor the deal on any Elantra SE on their lot. REALLY????? I picked out one with the upgraded trim and better electronics package and then we took a test drive. Then we went inside to apply for credit and he went over the deal. Since I got the upgraded trim etc, I expected him to jack up my payment. With tax I figured I should owe about 180.00 per month. He went thru all the calculations and told me it was 182.00. I actually got the deal they promised and it was not on a used demo car. The car I got was brand new (11 miles) and it was even the upgraded electronics package. We went thru financing to sign the papers and they did present options for car protection etc. While they obviously would like to sell the upgrades, they were not pushy or persistent. We actually did buy one package (protected against dents, dings and cracked windshields) but declined the rest. We thought this package was well worth the price (15 extra per mo) and said that Planet Hyundai didn't even offer this. They even offered to sell us a 2nd package for my wife's Hyundai even thought we leased the car elsewhere. SWEET!!! A 2nd car with 2 protection packages and tax was only $221.82 per month. Start to finish we were there 3 hours and that included the test drive and all dealings on a really busy Saturday morning. Nothing but courtesy, respect and HONESTY. I have gone to 6 different dealerships over the years and NEVER had such a good experience or such a SMOKING deal on a new car. Needless to say when our leases are up 3 years from now, we'll be back at Arapahoe Hyundai. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else. If you need a car, I would strongly suggest you go see Bernard Brake and John Francis O'Hanlon at Arapahoe Hyundai. Tell 'em Ken and Christine Fisk sent ya! More
