Arapahoe Hyundai makes a mistake, yells at customer for it Horrible Horrible Horrible dealership. I went in to help my step daughter buy her first car. She ended up getting a 2017 Elantra. The car had 14 mi Horrible Horrible Horrible dealership. I went in to help my step daughter buy her first car. She ended up getting a 2017 Elantra. The car had 14 miles on it, but had a dent in the right front fender. I brought this to the salesman's attention and he said he would take care of it. We get to the point of signing a contract, and I'm not convinced the dent will be taken care of. The salesman hadn't talked to the finance guy, so the finance guy didn't know what I was talking about. Finally he noted on the we owe slip that the dent would be fixed. The finance guy also negotiated a 1% decrease in the loan if she got the gap insurance. We left the dealership happy that she had a safe reliable car. Then everything went downhill. My step daughter informed me that she received a call from the dealership, the dealership said something about references for the loan. I told her to ignore them, we had already signed a contract. She said they had called again and they were talking down to her, she was pretty upset. The dealership had also called my wife and had talked to her in a demeaning tone. Finally I called the dealership to see what they were going crazy over. I talked to KB, who told me that the gap insurance form the finance guy had used was not the right form. They had problems with that insurance and Hyundai would not approve the loan. I told KB that after all those lies about references and the fact that Hyundai had screwed up the paperwork, I wasn't going to waste my time with another gap insurance. I wanted a new contract with the same terms (%) but without the gap, since it had caused this trouble, and KB said fine. When i finally got my step daughter to Arapahoe Hyundai ( she works 60 hours a week) there was a different finance guy there, and he had no idea what I was talking about. When I told him the we wanted a new contract without the gap, he said it wasn't possible. (he didn't want to do the paperwork)He presented the new gap form, and I told him that we were not going to sign that because it caused this headache to begin with. The main reason that I wanted a new contract was because the dent had not been taken care of (this was 2 weeks after the original contract was signed) and I wanted some compensation for my step daughter. She payed for a new car that was damaged and the dealership had talked to her in a demeaning tone. Then the finance guy went off, stated that I had messed with the wrong guy. If she did not sign the new gap form, he would take the car back. (i call it dropping the hammer, when someone explodes for no reason) Arapahoe Hyundai screws up the paperwork, talks poorly on the phone to my step daughter about THEIR mistake, then threatens to take the car back over THEIR mistake. I don't know where all those 5 star ratings came from, but I've never has such poor treatment. My step daughter gave you guys money and you treated her like crap in return. I was going to go talk to the GM about his horrible team, but after reading the comments everyone else has posted, why would I waste my team. My step daughter deserved some compensation, but she will never get it from those jerks. She shouldn't have to waste her time over a mistake Hyundai made, she also should have had some money taken off her loan, since Hyundai was never going to fix the car on her terms. They wanted her to come in on a Thursday, she works 6 to 6 on Thursday. I know they have mobile dent repair guys that could have came to her place and fixed the dent. I wish I could give zero stars for these guys. I'm to upset to think straight, don't give your money to these jerks. I initially talked with Devin when looking for a car. He did OK, except he wouldn't tell us the price of the used cars. Bill did the original contract, and had the original mistake of using the wrong form. I don't remember the guy who dropped the hammer on us when we went back in, I don't see him on the list below. More
