Buyer Beware! Beware of this dealership. While staying with family in Jacksonville I purchased a certified preowned 2014 Tacoma from them in August 2016. I bought t Beware of this dealership. While staying with family in Jacksonville I purchased a certified preowned 2014 Tacoma from them in August 2016. I bought the vehicle to replace my truck which had been totaled by the recent historic flooding in our home of Louisiana. They convinced me to spend the extra $2000 or so to purchase the extended “bumper to bumper” warranty. I’d only owned the vehicle for 3 months and when I brought it in for service at the Toyota dealership in Baton Rouge they discovered that at some point prior to me purchasing the vehicle the windshield had been removed and not been reinstalled properly. They found considerable water damage to the floor of the vehicle resulting from water that had been leaking in from the window seal behind the interior panel. Because there is no record of it being done by Toyota, the damage is not covered by the warranty. Arlington has refused to take any responsibility for selling me a damaged vehicle. They’ve even implied that I must be scamming them since I live out of state or that I’m lying and have done something myself to cause the damage. Richard Reese, a manager at Arlington, was extremely rude and made no attempt to understand my situation. He did not even have the decency to convey their position of “not participating in the repair” directly to me, but rather told my local dealership and I had to hear the news initially from them. I spent 5 years stationed in Jacksonville when I served in the Navy, and I’ve urged everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. By the way, don’t believe many of these positive reviews. The salesman are extremely aggressive in trying to make you write a positive review while you’re waiting for the paperwork when making a purchase. More
