Didn't honor pricing I had a 100 month Honda battery for my Honda CRV. It was only 4 years in and the battery was going out. I had to get a jump start and then I had to I had a 100 month Honda battery for my Honda CRV. It was only 4 years in and the battery was going out. I had to get a jump start and then I had to charge the battery in order to make it to the dealership. I called first to see about getting the battery replaced which I figured would be pro-rated. I wanted to find out more, and it was a Sunday when service was closed. I attempted to do an online chat to get more information, but the chat told me that I'd be waiting for a long time in order to get information. So, on the following Monday I called the service dept. to find out about the cost of getting a new battery. Based on the life into the battery, the service guy told me that the cost of the battery would be $50 plus tax and that the charge would not exceed $60. I still had my receipt. I was not told about any other additional cost. So, I get to the dealership which is a bit of a drive from where I live, only to be told that the battery is $65, and in addition they were going to charge to install the battery. I was not told this over the phone. Service should have informed me that there was a charge for installation. When a battery goes out long before it should, there should be no charge for installation. It should not matter if the original battery was purchased out of state or not, since it was a Honda dealership and a Honda battery. I am on low income and can't afford more than was quoted. I ended up going to Auto Zone to get a new battery where they installed it for FREE and also installed a new engine air filter for FREE. If it hadn't of been so late in the afternoon and the traffic and threat of incoming storms, I would have taken it up with the manager. More
