From the minute we got out of our car, John engaged us in informed conversation about a particular used vehicle on their lot. Jerry Corderro also explained in depth the pricing of this particular car in relation to others on the local market. John checked back in with us during the entire process (test drive, meeting with finance, etc.), which made the process smooth and efficient. After leaving to see vehicles at other dealerships, we returned to purchase this car and we were warmly greeted after our "shopping" without feeling guilty doing so. John then shepharded the car through the prep servicing while we met with finance officer to speed things along, as we had come a distance. He instructed us about the steps we needed to take with the insurance company and registry once we got home. We were glad that we had brought the old plates so that we could drive off the lot with our new used car! We are also looking to replace a second vehicle that was totalled, and we will definitely be revisiting Atamian in the future. BLB More

After I made the decision to purchase the 2008 RAV4 that I had seen advertised the previous day, I was unable to wait for my registration and inspection to be completed due to a previously made appoinment. I have been bringing my cars to Atamian for service for over 10 years, primarily due to the attention paid by Jason Polk at the Service Desk. I drove several miles (from the northeast corner of CT) ... because Atamian had the vehicle that I was looking for on their lot. Some go well and some not so well. So I went in with an open mind and hoped for the best. And I have to say "The Best" is what I got. We were greeted by a salesman (Tarik Slaoui) who was upbeat, friendly, and extremely helpful. We were also fortunate enough to meet and interact with two of Atamians other employees (Steve Cordero and Steve Redding) and when I mean interact ... the conversation leaned more towards family and daily life rather than just business and cars. My brother and I were treated like old friends, the vehicle (even for a used vehicle) was exceptionally clean and the price was very good. This is one dealership I would highly recommend. My wife and I recently leased a new Honda CRV from Atamian, the second time we did business with the dealership in 10 weeks, having purchased a brand new Accord from them in October. Tarik Slaoui's Atamian, the second time we did business with the dealership in 10 weeks, having purchased a brand new Accord from them in October. Tarik Slaoui's skills in every area were BEYOND REPROACH. Tarik's knowledge, experience, advice and demeanor were excellent and made it seem like we weren't at a car dealer, we were basically having a talk with a friend. Tarik was great and did an unbelievable job and was the reason we leased the car. If we needed to buy a car every week, like we need to go grocery shopping, we would deal with Tarik again and again and again. Our experience with Steve Redding, unfortunately, was just the opposite. Mr. Redding was abrupt, dismissive and rude even taking a personal call on his cell phone while we were in his office. He attempted (and failed) to employ the tried and true sales technique of saying we had a 12,000/miles per year lease as opposed to 15,000. When we questioned him on this, he couldn't have been any more rude or difficult, although he ultimately changed it to 15,000. Then, when we began to ask questions, he wound up hustling us out of his office. I realize Steve is not on the sales side and is pretty much a guy who processes paperwork but I still have to believe he could've been friendlier. Then, the real problems started. After Atamian transferred our plates from our previous lease, we drove off the lot, ready to show our new wheels to family and friends over Christmas. Then, on Christmas Eve Day as we were preparing to drive to the dealership to get our car inspected Mr. Redding called and said it was unlawful for us to be driving the car and wouldn't be able to do so until the 26th, the day after Xmas, due to the DEALERSHIP'S error with the plates. Steve wrongly claimed that the previous car was registered to my wife (it was a lease, wasn't registered to anyone) and therefore, since the new one was leased under my name, we couldn't transfer plates. Nevermind that I called Honda, had to go to one of Atamian's competitors to see what they would've done, the whole thing was a headache. And the worst part is NOBODY at Atamian ever apologized. When I finally returned the day after Christmas, Mr. Redding avoided me like the plague and Tarik graciously rectified the issue. In closing, despite Tarik, I feel Atamian is a dealership to steer clear of. Very condescending, very rude and very arrogant guys all around, especially Steve Redding. More
