They sold me a stolen car. This used car dealership sold me a car without clear title. I found this out when I went to DMV to get the permanent registration and they told me the This used car dealership sold me a car without clear title. I found this out when I went to DMV to get the permanent registration and they told me the car was listed as stolen. Not what you want to hear. I then wasted a week getting completely unhelpful guidance from the title department of the dealership. The week culminated with them instructing me for the second time to have Cobb County Police come to my house to verify my possession of the car, which was supposedly going to clear everything up, but which instead resulted in the car being impounded from my house and the officer telling me that he might need to arrest me as well. Only at this point did the dealership do anything effective to start trying to clear this up. In short, it was a terrible experience. You have a lot of choices of where you can buy a car. I wouldn't make this my choice ever again. More

I called him over lunch to clarify things and he subsequently continued to advocate for us with his managers while we were away. He teed up the financing conversation with his coworkers well so that some of the negotiating was already done. They fixed a faulty electronic component and plugged a hole in a tire from a screw while we finished the paperwork. Good experience. You’ve got to work for a better price, but that seems true pretty much everywhere. I’m confident we couldn’t have done much better elsewhere. We left without a full tank, but I’d still do it again.
