Met with Chris Marino and Rick Alessi on 9/28 couldn’t get the problem to repeat they advised that they are here to assist if it becomes a bigger issue. Oil change I went in for an oil change and possible tire change. Alex informed me that I didn’t need it yet which I was pleasantly surprised with the honesty. They’re giving me the run around on a warranty claim. I have a problem on my 2018 accord touring. The collision mitigation system gives me and error and says see dealer. I’ve taken it twice and they give me the same load of crap both times that I can’t have anything on my windshield because it causing interference. So the first time I bought into it and removed everything (ezpass, dash cam, baby mirror). After that the problem persisted and went back to them. This time they told me that it’s velcro stickers that were left behind from the ezpass that is causing interference. Now this is where I now start to feel like I’m being treated like a fool. How can the camera that pointed outward on the windshield see two tiny stickers behind the glass out of the cameras view. Just doesn’t make sense if I take those off and go back next thing they are going to tell me it’s my registration sticker causing interference??? If you do an internet search there’s hundreds of other accord owners with this same problem. There needs to be a fix. But for now I guess I will just file a claim with NHTSA being that this is a major safety concern. I know that it’s a driver assistance aid and shouldn’t be relied upon entirely this error comes into play and deactivates the system at very inconvenient times that can make things very dangerous. More
