Jared called and worked with me to get pre approved. He gave me verbal approval for a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica and said I was approved for $20,500 with payments that would be $380/month. My husband and I didn't like white which was the van he had us approved for, and we asked about the 2018 Honda Odessey they had in stock. He said they should be able to hold it for a few days no problem, then he called on Tuesday and told us we would have to pay a down payment of $500 in order to hold it. I literally called back within 12 minutes and he said they sold it. He apologized and said that he would make up for it by giving us a friend's and family discount as well as offer me $1500 more than the book value of my Nissan Sentra. He sent me a list of 4 vans via email to take a look at and we settled on a 2020 Chrysler Journey, made an appointment for last Thursday. We got to,our appointment at 2:30pm, test drive the Journey while they took my Nissan back. ( inspection was current and the vehicle was in Good condition). He came back and said they were only going to give us $2600 for it when the book value was $2900 to begin with. He said that they have a different point system for rating. Ok, but the amount they offered still didn't include $1500 more. We had the trade in, and $3500 to put down that day and wanted to sign and drive. We sat there from 2:30-6pm when he comes over and says " I have bad news! We got you a loan, but the instrest rate is high, and it's $500 a month. Really!?? I specifically told him the price range I wanted to begin with and this was almost $200 more than my max. He told me I was approved prior to driving out there and after 3 hours of sitting he's telling me this?? I told him its a deal breaker and began packing up to leave. He attempted to give us $30 for our trouble and I told him to keep it! He then wanted to show me,his friends Kia out back and it wasn't even in their stock and guess what he said "Oh it's white, you don't want white". He lied to get us there, lied about the additional trade in amount, lied about the friends and family discount, and lied about being approved prior. It was a colossal waste of time and to be honest I fully expected some sort of a phone call the next business day apologizing but got nothing. This is a terrible way to do business. No wonder why people are switching to Carvana and Vroom, No hassle, No BS. I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone. Very disappointed. More
