Service at ALL AutoNation dealerships charge 12. 95% of the parts and labor charge for "customer pay shop charge for repair order" to a maximum of $69.95. This is outrageous and takes advantage of the customer. Another independent dealership charges a flat fee of $8.95. How can AutoNation get away with this????? I was only told by the service advisor that it is a charge for shop supplies, and not that this is a standard charge by AutoNation. I was offered a $150 credit for future service, which will also be charged up to $69.95 for a service appointment. In other words, if you have a repair for $540 or more, expect a flagrant charge of $69.95, over and above the cost of the parts and labor, plus sales tax on this charge. I will not support AutoNation in the future. More

Had to return to the dealership after vehicle was serviced because the engine light was on. The oil cap apparently wasn’t seated properly when the oil was changed. If I had been advised of this charge ahead of time, like when I made my service appointment, I would have brought cash to avoid the surprising additional fee. I don’t pay credit card fees anywhere so would have liked to have avoided this one. My service advisor, who was excellent, told me that the fee was just recently implemented. I guess next time I’ll know to bring about $500 in cash. More

Had a routine oil change NOTHING else and was handed a bill for $460 after my 10% coupon!
