Audi Hoffman Estates - Service Center

Oil Change I brought my car in for an oil change. After 90 minutes I inquired as to whether or not there was a problem because it was taking so long. I was then I brought my car in for an oil change. After 90 minutes I inquired as to whether or not there was a problem because it was taking so long. I was then told that my car was getting its three-year maintenance and also that rails for my engine which were part of the recall were also being handled. While I don’t have a problem with any of that, it would’ve been nice to know that those two extra things were going to be handled when I brought my car into Audi for service. The girl who scheduled the appointment with me didn’t mention it, and the service rep when I checked in also didn’t mention those two things. My total weight time was 2 1/2 hours. While the service is exemplary, there was a breakdown in communication thus the four stars. More

Good service - but I have had better from Audi-Hoffman Est. The service was good - but the communication as to when the installation of the windshield would be completed - and that a "third party..." would be d The service was good - but the communication as to when the installation of the windshield would be completed - and that a "third party..." would be doing the installation - could have been a lot better. It was never made clear to me as to when the service might be completed....only that "we will call you when it is done..." I only learned later that the company who does the windshield installations comes in daily between 2 and 4 p.m. each day. Not that it should matter - but had I known that it certainly would have set an expectation as to when the car might be done. Had someone communicated to me a range as to when the service would be done...i.e. "by end of day tomorrow...or early Friday morning..." would have been more helpful. When I called at 5:30 p.m. on the day I thought the servicing would be done....- the very nice receptionist informed me that the advisors had all gone home... and that she did not know what the status of my car was. A quick call from someone indicating the car would not be done that day...but rather the next day... would have improved the communication. It was also very clear that both Ted & Mike Torelli where extremely busy......it appeared more customers then available advisors on the days I was there....? On a very positive note...I did have one of the other advisors take care of getting me a loaner car in Ted's absence...which was extremely quick & helpful!! And finally a small point - but noticed the car wasn't washed after the servicing...not sure why, because I have had it in for servicing in the past and that was always done. More
