To begin, I must express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional work that Sean provided during our car-buying experience. Prior to visiting the dealership from Logan, Utah, I had requested that they refrain from adding a gap to the contract. Upon entering the finance office, I promptly noticed that this request had been disregarded. I promptly brought this matter to Jon Tomas’ attention. In response, he presented hypothetical scenarios involving accidents for the vehicle, emphasizing the need for a gap due to its intended use for my 16-year-old daughter. Jon repeatedly asserted that she would be involved in an accident and that a gap was necessary. However, I firmly refuted these claims, asserting that the vehicle was safe and that I did not share his apprehension. I also clarified that the vehicle was not a Porsche, but rather an affordable Honda Accord. If the vehicle were to be involved in an accident, the resulting financial burden would be minimal. Jon was informed that my previous vehicles had gaps due to their value, but he continued to hesitate in accepting my offer. I proceeded to explain that I had only paid approximately $500 for the gap on my Ford Raptor and was unwilling to incur an additional $900 for gap on the Honda Accord. In response, Jon reduced the gap payment for $8. Despite my continued refusal, his behavior became increasingly aggressive. He eventually pointed his pen at me and attempted to force it into the iPad, where they conduct contractual agreements. At this point, I firmly stated that I would not purchase the vehicle. John’s reaction was one of extreme agitation, and the atmosphere became increasingly hostile. I felt harassed and insulted that he was addressing my daughter’s safety concerns. His disrespect towards both myself and my daughter was unacceptable. In light of this situation, I decided to decline the purchase and promptly left the dealership. Fortunately, due to Sean’s efforts, he was able to save the deal and assured me that I would never communicate with Jon Tomas. I was able to sign paperwork for the vehicle with Sean. More
