I was promised a 1.5h max wait which turned out to be 3.25h. There was no proactive communication about the delay, nor acknowledgement of the mismatch in communication. I had to continually present myself to ask about status. On top of all of this, there were at least 2 other people at the service desks but no one in the office acknowledged my presence while my service manager attended to other customers for 10 minutes—twice, not even my manager. I was eventually offered a lunch coupon nearby but did not want to extend my time; turned out the additional delay was still :45m when I was told 15-20m. The work seems to have been fine but the service department is poorly managed. More
Car still not fixed after one month All, I have brought my A8 (which I bought from you) in for three services this year: The first time was for the rear brakes to be done. Withou All, I have brought my A8 (which I bought from you) in for three services this year: The first time was for the rear brakes to be done. Without giving me a pre-work estimate not only were the rear brakes changed but the fronts too also. I attach e-mail chain. I ended up agreeing to pay an amount for the combined work that was greater than the cost for the agreed work but discounted from list. I accepted that as I wanted to preserve the relationship but when I found that not only was this work that was not authorized but was work that did not need to be done (based on the condition of those brakes). See attached. I remain really bothered that Audi Palo Alto did this and then did not step up to do the right thing but rather nickel and dimed more dollars out of me. I should have reported this to BAR but – again – wanted to give you guys a chance. Second time was a major service – here what your website quotes for the specific car and the specific service is not the same as the price the advisor fixes and the customer pays. Finally this last time. It took 2 days under one whole month to get the repair done. During this time there was one call only from the advisor to tell me of status. I was left calling in 3 times to (a) get a loaner – the advisor promised to call me when he had one as he didn’t when I dropped the car off and (b) to ascertain status – where no-one could help despite 4 calls and waiting before eventually being told that my adviser was no longer there. Here two points (a) one of your advisors forwarded me to the Service Manager’s VME, despite the fact the Service Manager was on paternity leave and (b) despite trying 3 times your GM never called me back. And finally to cap it all....exactly the same MMI problem that caused me to bring the car in for service is still happening and has not been fixed. See video. More
