Mis-diagnosis Went in for check engine light and flashing PRNDL lights. I was informed that I needed to replace the TCM - but the part was on back-order. Instead Went in for check engine light and flashing PRNDL lights. I was informed that I needed to replace the TCM - but the part was on back-order. Instead they recommended a number of other services that totaled over $3700. I was so concerned with the major issues (replace control arm bushings and both engine mounts) that I didn't realize that they claimed I had a dead battery, and needed to jump start my car. They determined that the alternator was fine and I probably had a couple of dead cells - and recommended a new battery. In the 2 years I've owned the car, I've never had an issue starting the car. You cannot tell me that this was a mere coincidence. Either there was incompetence, or they successfully fleeced me for an issue that wasn't there. At the very least, they should have walked me out to the car and let me see the issue for myself. I know I could have started the car right up. Obviously, this is on me for not being a wise consumer - I should have said no thanks and driven off. I no longer have any faith in this dealership and cannot trust anything they say about my car. More
