Our trip to N This is the review I initially wrote: "My son purchased his first automobile today. He did his research and knew exactly what he wanted. Our trip to New Jersey from Ohio was worth the drive. The owner and staff were very helpful." This review was written at the dealership because the staff hovered over me and asked me no less than four times if I had completed my review. This was before the deal was done and while we were waiting. We drove the car off the lot and got about 3 miles out when the transmission slipped. We turned around and returned the car. To the dealerships credit, they returned our money. I was promised a call on Monday to let me know what the mechanic thought the problem was. No call but I did call on Wednesday and was told it had not been looked at. THursday afternoon after we had returned to Ohio, I got a call from the owner that the car needed a major repair that would run around $3,000. THey were not willing to make the repair and sell us the car for the previously offered price. I was not willing to pay more for a car that had a significant problem with such low mileage. Again, I did not have an issue with their unwillingness to fix the car that had been represented as being in great condition. To my complete amazement, however, the car is back online as being listed for sale. $1,200 more expensive, but the real kicker is that the listing does not mention the major repair that I assume the dealership made. At least I hope that the car was fixed, and that the issue will be disclosed to whoever happens to buy the car. The listing say all original parts. There is a muffler in the trunk that we found and perhaps a new transmission under the hood??? I don't know the car's current status but I have concerns. This is my review now that I am not at the dealership being hounded by the staff about whether I completed my review. They really need to stop that practice if they want honest reviews by customers. Great Experience Purchasing My Beautiful Sebring Convertible We had an appointment to see a car we learned about on-line. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff. We asked if we could look around, and they encouraged us to do so. My son and I were like two kids in a candy shop as we gazed, in awe, at the beautiful vehicles in the spacious lot and showroom ! The vehicles looked so shiny and new; we were a bit overwhelmed with enthusiasm ! Our sales associate, Mlchael, was super nice and answered all our questions with ease. He expedited the sales process efficiently and promptly. We felt "no pressure" when making our final decision to purchase the 2005 Chrysler Sebring Touring Convertible ( the car we were originally interested in) !
