L.lgbella27, we originally estimated the bill to be $419 the final bill was $445.45. They were not the same. You presented us with 4 seperate issues: 1. Radio Issues. 2. Water leak. 3. Emissions light. 4. Bucking at 40 MPH. We guessed that the bucking and emissions light might be related so we estimated 3 hours of technitican diagnosis for $419 That's one hour per issue. We could not find an issue with your radio so we didn't charge you for that. We don't fix leaks internally. The Water Doctor came out, diagnosed your leak, fixed the leak and removed water. That was the majority of your bill: 305.50. We diagnosed your emission issue, cleared, cleaned and sanded your fuel inlet to fuel cap connection. We then inspected the rest of the system to make sure that our diagnosis wasn't flawed and then took your vehicle for a ride to make sure it solved the bucking issue. We only charged you for one hour of diagosis. That's all you paid us. The rest went to Water Doctor. The dealership you bought the car from did provide you an extended warranty but it did not cover your issues. An issue with your emissions system would traditionally be covered if the issue was in anyway related to a failure of the system. We honeslty thought we were being reasonable. No, you did not estimate anything. There was no estimate. How did you estimate without a diagnosis. Then your explanation was poor. I have the paperwork. 139.95 diagnostics for the leak. $139.95 diagnostics for the Radio. 139.95 diagnostics for the emissions which was $419.85 plus a shop fee for $25. Which equals $445.Then the service advisor said most likely I would not be charged unless it was caused by something out of control like a mouse eating through wire for instance. First off most places charge a diagnostics flat rate. $150 or what not. Then all of a sudden Katie calls and says the gas cap I don’t have is lose and needs to be replaced (don’t have a gas cap) and my window had to be taken apart and that’s not usually covered. Legit 3 months ago the manufacturer warranty ended.. So now my diagnostics which most likely be covered is now $445 You guys clear a code that fixed the bucking. Seal a window and magically cost the same as the 3 diagnostics. You didn’t charge me the radio is a joke. What you stared at for 3 minutes. No one even mentioned about anything getting fixed no calls saying what your doing… just it’s fixed and it was magically fixed for the exact amount of the the three diagnostics. Then I said well all you did was clear my code (which wouldn’t stop the bucking) and If I have issues down the line what is the warranty on the work.. no answer. Just if happens let us know. So no warranty. I’m sorry but your customer service is sub par. If things were explained from the beginning I may not be as pissed ..I was told nothing prior to work. No communication besides saying sorry it wasn’t covered. Never again. I just don’t want others to go through what I did. If they go to you guys I hope they ask a lot of question and get everything explained to them.
