Recently went in to look at a car I saw online. Met with Shaun and he got me set up for a test drive. While I wasn’t 100% sold on that particular car, Shaun was able to find me something else that was exact Shaun and he got me set up for a test drive. While I wasn’t 100% sold on that particular car, Shaun was able to find me something else that was exactly what I was looking for and was able to make it fit within my budget. One of the quickest and smoothest car buying processes I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend Shaun if you’re looking to buy at Autofair Subaru of Haverhill. More

My experience was less than memorable. It was off to a good start when Cliff seemed very willing to help me find the car that met my needs. He said there was a Crosstrek available for “just a little more money” because it came with Auto Dimming Exterior Mirror with Approach light. He said the car had to be picked up in New Hampshire and that it would be at the dealership at 1PM the next day. By 1PM on February 18th, I had not heard back from Cliff, so I called the dealership and was told the car was still on its way. They were not able to give me an idea as to how long it would take for it to arrive. In times of cell phones and GPS, it seemed strange that they would not have more specific information from the driver. The car did not arrive to the dealership until after 2PM on that day, and since I was traveling from the south shore, the sales process did not actually start until close to 4PM and would not end until around 7PM. When I got in the car for a test drive, I quickly realized there was no dimming mirror system like I was told. When I asked Cliff about this, he said that this car did not have it. When I mentioned he had said the car had it the day before, I was met with, “I don’t remember what I said”. This immediately gave me the sense that I had been tricked the day before and offered something that was actually not going to be delivered. After signing a few papers, I was handed a photocopied manual with dark boxes instead of clear pictures that described features of the car, many of which were not actually available in my vehicle (blind spot detection, set seat position with a button, among other things). At around 5:30PM I was told to go to an office to deal with the financing part. At that point, I was told — by a person other than Cliff — that my monthly payment was going to be $375 instead of the $305 that I had agreed to with Cliff. Then it was explained to me that this included some coverage plan for 5 or 6 years that would take care of flat tires and the cameras for the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology among other things. When I declined this coverage, I was told “those cameras are expensive.” At that point I asked if my car actually had said technology, and I was give a clear “YES,” which convinced me to add this extra coverage and charge to my monthly payment. As soon as I got in my car, I noticed it did not have EyeSight technology. Once again, I realized I had been told something that was not true. After I left, I realized I had forgotten my glasses. I called first thing on Friday February 19th to ask for them to be mailed to me. I even offered to pay for shipping since I did not want to drive 80 to 90 minutes to pick them up in Haverhill. I tried calling Cliff’s cell phone several times but he never picked up. I sent him an email about it. It took several tries to actually get him to ship the glasses, which I received 3 weeks after my initial call. This showed me that the nice person that I met on Wednesday when I first showed up at Auto Fair was only interested in selling me a car, and there was no interest in providing proper customer service after the deal was closed. I was also told Auto Fair would pay for the inspection sticker, and since I live so far away, I could just submit the receipt and they would mail me the reimbursement check. I sent that receipt several days ago, but still have not gotten said payment. Based on the experience I just described here, I have little to no hope that I will actually receive it. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with the service at Auto Fair. I was told of two accessories that were not actually in the car, and the post-customer service was nonexistent. More

Right away Shaun made me feel comfortable and confident in making my first car purchase. He was realistic and very honest and that's what helped me most.
