Just dont care Just a little background on my first experience buying a car from a dealer. I purchased a used 2 year old grand Cherokee for the Hilton Head CJD deale Just a little background on my first experience buying a car from a dealer. I purchased a used 2 year old grand Cherokee for the Hilton Head CJD dealership in December. Once driving out 45 minutes to pick it up, they inform me that it wont be ready due to the fact that there is a headlight problem and the ONLY mechanic that can fix it is on Vacation, so i have to wait 4 days to pick it up. I had already traded mine vehicle in so they had to give me a loaner, which i in turn find out that they didnt have authorization to loan out and forced me to drive back another 45 minutes to trade it out. When i finally did get my car, the second i got home, the engine light went off saying i needed an oil change. I took it back and they had forgot to put fluid and change the oil.... After that was done, 1 week later the engine light went off again forcing me to drive back again. At this point i was pretty much fed up and wrote a review on this site detailing my unpleasant experience. Of course, the GM of CJD, called me right away and asked why i had written such a bad review to which i responded, why shouldn't i have?? He said unless i take the review down there was nothing he could do to help me....RIDICULOUS. He said that some cars just are like this and he would be happy to get me in another vehicle. Of course the next closest priced Jeep was $6k more than what i paid and i said i couldn't do that. So he said he'd keep an eye out for any other vehicles that come close to that price range and would let me know. After two more engine light problems that i have had to go back for, still not a word from him and i have monitored their inventory seeing a few different options he could have offered me. When i went back, for the last engine light issue in February, he said why didnt you tell me???? Yesterday, my engine light went off for the 4th time.. I called and left FOUR messages with the manager asking him politely to call me back. He even saw me when i had to go in and would not come talk to me. He has yet to call me back and that was over three weeks ago. In summary, the sales managers will do and say whatever it takes to make the sale and make the dealership look good when in fact they dont give a hoot about the customer. I would highly discourage anyone from buying a car from this dealership. STAY AWAY More

Then they were extremely rude to me for calling them out on their lie. They had no idea how to perform that service and I left with no help. Waste of time and money, and they give me attitude when I am frustrated?! More

Forgotten in the waiting area I had a 10:00 am appointment with the Service Department to have a Recall part replaced. I arrived at 9:50 am and was told it would take 1 to 1.5 hou I had a 10:00 am appointment with the Service Department to have a Recall part replaced. I arrived at 9:50 am and was told it would take 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. I remained in the showroom/break area and used the restroom once(<10 min). Around 12:00 pm I wandered what might be the delay but I didn't want to be the "impatient customer". I thought perhaps the mechanics were backed up or it was just taking longer than they expected to complete the job. Still, it would have been thoughtful if they would have checked in with me and let me know of the delay. So I wait... At 1:00 pm, I get a drink from the soda machine in the customer bay and notice my vehicle sitting there. I step inside the service area and after a moment, someone asks me if I have been helped. I state that I brought my vehicle in over three hours ago and the service consultant that took my keys earlier, spun around from her desk and said, "Oh, I went to notify you ealier (probably when I was in the bathroom) and then I must have forgotten about you!" When I signed the printout, I noticed it was time marked at 10:42 am! So, she looked for me once and let me sit out there more than 2 hours. So much for being the patient customer. I don't want to drop her name but I hope that she will be more diligent than 'one check and forget' in the future. More
