Public Warning to Prospective Buyers – AutoNation Katy If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from AutoNation Katy, I strongly recommend that you read this carefully and inspect every detail Katy If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from AutoNation Katy, I strongly recommend that you read this carefully and inspect every detail of what you are being sold. I purchased a 2023 Ford Bronco for approximately $45,000. After the sale, I discovered that the factory toolkit—standard equipment that comes with the vehicle from Ford—was missing. This was never disclosed prior to purchase. When I contacted the dealership, they confirmed the omission but refused to provide the missing equipment, stating that I would need to purchase it myself because the vehicle was sold “as is.” Even after acknowledging that vehicles should not be delivered with missing standard equipment, management chose not to correct the issue. I escalated the matter to Ford Customer Care. Ford advised that the issue would be forwarded to the regional zone for informational purposes, but that the regional zone has no authority to compel a dealer to act. Because I needed the toolkit, I ultimately purchased it out of pocket. This could have been resolved immediately and inexpensively by the dealership. Instead, management chose to stand on technicalities rather than integrity. This experience has nothing to do with the price of a tool kit. It has everything to do with trust. When a dealership will not stand behind something this basic on a $45,000 purchase, it raises serious concerns about how they will handle more significant issues. My advice to any prospective customer: Do not assume anything is “standard.” Verify everything in writing. And understand that once the sale is complete, AutoNation Katy may choose policy over principle, even when the omission is their own. More
I was lied to by Felipe Venegas about parts arrival THREE times over a FIVE day period. Called to get update on my car EVERYDAY it was there and always sent to voice mail and didn't get call back till end of times over a FIVE day period. Called to get update on my car EVERYDAY it was there and always sent to voice mail and didn't get call back till end of day when Felipe proceeded to LIE to me about parts availability. Then lied to again when confronted in person at the service center claiming part just arrived and it would take a couple of hours to repair. I was then called 35 minutes later claiming car is ready. How do you finish AND charge for two hours labor after 35 minutes. DEN OF THIEVES AND LIARS! More
