The service department was very polite and clean. I waited for my vehicle to get maintenance work and it was completed in a timely manner. I waited for my vehicle to get maintenance work and it was completed in a timely manner. More
During the middle of February 2026 my wife's 2017 Escape SE 1.5L Turbo began running rough and the check engine light came on. I had the warning code analyzed and a code "P0302" came up which indicated a " SE 1.5L Turbo began running rough and the check engine light came on. I had the warning code analyzed and a code "P0302" came up which indicated a "Cylinder 2 Misfire detected. I did some reading and from all indications I had a bad spark plug, a bad spark plug wire or bad coil pack. The car has 134,000 miles on it so I decided it was time to replace all spark plugs so I ordered a kit that contained 4 spark plugs, 4 plug wires and 4 coil packs and was going to make the replacements myself. When I received the kit I found the job was much more involved than I thought so I took the kit to a local professional auto repair to do the work. The repair shop had done professional work for me on my cars for years and the owner is very professional and has been in business for over 20 years. The owner gave me a call and stated that he had changed 3 of the 4 plugs but the plug for cylinder 2 was was locked in very tight and he didn't want to put excess force on it because that type of plug would break with excessive force. He stated if I wanted he him to go any further with it he would call Ford and see it they had any recommendations. Based of this I decided to take the car to AutoNation Ford on March 11, 2026 and let them use their EXPERTISE in removing difficult to remove spark plugs. When I took my car to Ford I was not giving warnings that my end result would a $11,000 engine change. I noticed that the excuse given by the AutoNation technician was the plug broke when barely turned to see if it would move. Auto Nation was quick to blame the other shop for damaging the plug. How convenient of Auto Nation to do this. I thought I was bringing my car to an expert on removing a stuck plug but it appears no prep work was done on a known stuck plug. Expertise? Penetrating oil? Removal in several segments? I got my car back with the bad news on March 13, 2026. The unprofessional actions by Auto Nation service department personnel has resulted in my wife not having a car and has imposed a real hardship on our family. I have been trying to find another auto repair facility to replace the engine at an affordable price and have been looking to purchase another vehicle. I have not been successful. In conclusion I am very disturbed at Auto Nation Ford and will probably never bring a vehicle here again for service. Auto Nation Ford even charged me to break my spark plug. I am currently checking into legal action over the actions regarding my car. Please my sure the Auto Nation Ford General Manage reads this review. More

My Explorer needed a 95,000 mile service and also had a couple of recalls. I made a service appointment online which was challenging because when I checked that my vehicle had recalls, the website did not couple of recalls. I made a service appointment online which was challenging because when I checked that my vehicle had recalls, the website did not allow me to say that I also needed service. I figured the service department would figure that out, though, because they had already called and emailed me to tell me my Explorer was due for a service. I used the early bird drop-off to leave my car. I got a text from the service department later that day saying I needed a new back window wiper blade which I said to do. My wife picked my car up later in the day and when I reviewed the service ticket I saw that one of the recalls had been addressed and the back window wiper blade had been replaced but there was no oil change, no tire rotation and nothing else even though the service department's records clearly showed those things were needed. When I got a text from the service department asking how my service was, I replied by asking whether my oil had been changed or anything else done - I got no response. I tried to call this morning and got an AI response which told me to leave a message which I did not do. You are relying way too much on AI and are neglecting true customer service and using your own information to see what needs to be done with a customer's car which is delivered to you for service. Now I suppose I have to make another appointment for the oil change, etc. which I mainly brought my Explorer in for this past Monday which is an unnecessary inconvenience for me. More
