My Stepson had his car towed there to have the Key reprogrammed from an attempted theft. Thieves damaged the lock cylinder so it was replaced before bringing onto the dealer lot. all they had to do wa reprogrammed from an attempted theft. Thieves damaged the lock cylinder so it was replaced before bringing onto the dealer lot. all they had to do was program the key for a 2002 Honda Civic. They told him they could not establish communication with the car and needed to charge him $600 electrical diagnosis to determine why. I live a little ways away from my Stepson so I took the trip to help him out. I have a ThinkDiag app on my phone and when I arrived at the dealer they had it stored on the back lot. so first thing I found was the battery was dead, "wow, no wonder it wouldn't communicate. we took the batter to the local Auto Zone and get it charged. took it back and hooked it up I connected the ThinkDiag device to the OBDII port entered the VIN number, gained access to the Immobilizer programmed the new key and drove it off the lot in 20 minutes. Wow! how hard was that. The sad part was that he called them in advance and they said they could handle the job but yet they either didn't have enough common sense to check battery voltage "Troubleshooting 101" not to mention anytime you intend to update a computer you ALWAYS make sure you have FULL POWER available. They apparently didn't put a voltmeter across the battery terminal to see what it read. Instead they pushed it out to the back lot and demanded another $600 to troubleshoot an electrical system for which there was nothing wrong except it needed the battery charged from the thieves leaving the door ajar all night. It never ceases to amaze me at how Auto Dealers like to take advantage of people. I wish these stars would rate in a negative direction I would certainly give them a negative -5 review. these people are either worthless or intended to over inflate their profit for a 20 minute job. worthless absolutely workless. This is my third Honda lease. The first lease was from Honda Wolfchase. Though, a good vehicle, I have found that nothing compares to the knowledge, and customer service provided at AutoNation Honda Mende Honda Wolfchase. Though, a good vehicle, I have found that nothing compares to the knowledge, and customer service provided at AutoNation Honda Mendenhall. My second Honda lease started at Wolfchase Honda, but I was disgusted by the arrogance and lack of customer care that I was provided at Wolfchase. I knew without a doubt that if I took the deal being offered, I was to be extremely ripped off. The salesperson was disrespectful and I said that I would like to first look at Dobbs. I never returned and now this is my second lease with Dobbs Honda, now AutoNation Honda Mendenhall. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by the front receptionist, a very warm woman who tried to determine who to call for so as to best take care of my needs. Shannon Bartlett happened to walk to the front and though in the middle of something, he immediately tended to my needs, determining what it was I was looking for. He then introduced me to Jeremy Hibbler and Billy who, in addition to Shannon, and in different ways made this experience wonderful. Jeremy Hibbler, apparently relatively new, was both warm upon introduction as well as extremely knowledgeable. He patiently took me around the car lot and made a huge effort to find the the car that was the best fit for me. What I especially appreciated was his sincerity and concern to do the job right. He answered my questions as they came up, and if unaware of the answer, he knew where to obtain the answer. He has since called to check up on me, and if I need anything whatsoever. Right to the end of the sale, I was taken aback by each of these individuals' efforts to make my experience smooth and even exciting. I recommend AutoNation Honda over Wolfchase any day, and even further I recommend visiting with either Shannon Bartlett, Jeremy Hibbler or Billy as the customer service I received was outstanding, the car I purchased incredibly safe and reliable. More
